There are a plethora of royals who have proved time and time again that they can ace maternity fashion, but none have managed it quite like Duchess Meghan.

The pregnant 37-year-old stepped out in a stunning floral fitted dress on Tuesday as she visited a nursing home in London, and while Meghan herself was positively glowing, it was her baby bump that we couldn’t keep our eyes off.

Visiting the Royal Variety nursing home, Meghan looked carefree and relaxed as she chatted to residents.

With her hair tied up in her signature low bun, the Duchess wore a fitted white floral dress by LA designer Brock Collection (retailing at a cool AUD $1,469), pairing it with a grey wool coat by Soia & Kyo – perfect for keeping snug in the plummeting UK temperatures.

Once inside, the Duchess took off her jacket to reveal the dress in question was short sleeved with ruching.

Meghan stopped to chat to residents and guests, some of whom might be familiar – Mona Hammond, formerly of UK show EastEnders and 1970s celebrity Richard O’Sullivan.

The house itself accommodates up to 36 residents, and it was clear Meghan thoroughly enjoyed meeting them, even telling one resident that she felt “very pregnant” today.

The woman, who was a retired actress, then told Meghan that she’d never had kids because she was focused on her career, to which Meghan replied: “That I understand.”

But it wasn’t just the visit itself that had people talking – fans were quick to speculate on the size of Meghan’s baby bump, suggesting that she might be further along her pregnancy than previously thought.

Taking to Twitter, one fan mused: “A lot further on in her pregnancy that it’s made out.”

While another speculated: “Do you think she’s having twins?”

Rumours that the couple might be expecting twins have certainly been rife, especially after delighted fans noticed Meghan’s bump grow (and quite frankly, pop) significantly between her appearances in November and December.

At the time of their pregnancy announcement, Kensington Palace confirmed Meghan and Harry were expecting their baby in the Spring.

Eagle-eyed fans also narrowed the window somewhat when Meghan was spotted wearing three birthstone rings by Canadian brand Ecksand.

The stacked rings, which each had a birthstone, represent Meghan’s August birthday – a green peridot stone, Harry’s September birthday – a blue sapphire, and the baby’s speculated April due date – represented by the month’s birthstone. A diamond.

And going by the size of Meghan’s baby bump, it seems likely we’ll be welcoming baby Sussex in no time!

While the palace never reveals due dates, bookies are taking bets for Baby Sussex’s arrival late March or early April next year.
