It was only a matter of time before the Duke and Duchess of Sussex adopted a dog, and new reports of Labrador Retriever joining the Sussex brood have filled our hearts with joy.
Over the weekend PEOPLE reported that Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan, formaly known as Meghan Markle, adopted the Labrador earlier in the summer. A source told the publication that their new pup is with them as much as possible, joining the pair when they are at Kensington Palace in London and when they are at their country home in the Cotswolds.
The Royal couple are already proud parents to Meghanโs rescue beagle Guy, who traveled to the UK before the royal wedding. Weโre sure the rescue dog would make an excellent addition to the family.

Itโs something of a happy ending for Meghan, who was forced to bid farewell to her second dog, beloved rescue pooch, Bogart, in order to start her new life as a Royal. While the reason Bogart, a labrador-shepherd mix, had to stay behind was never confirmed, many speculated he was simply too old to fly to the UK.
Bogart is reportedly now living happily with close friends of Meghanโs in Toronto.
Itโs no secret the couple are big animals lovers, but it seems Meghan may be something of a dog whisper. Prince Harry revealed his new wife managed to charm the Queenโs corgis with ease, confessing the pups took to Meghan more than they ever had to him.
Harry turned to Meghan during a BBC interview (view the interview at the top of this article) and said: โAnd the corgis took to you straight away.
โIโve spent the last 33 years being barked at; this one [Meghan] walks in, absolutely nothing โฆโ
Meghan said they were: โJust laying on my feet during tea, it was very sweet.โ
Harry added: โโฆ just wagging tails and I was just like argh.โ

Catherine is believed to have bought the pup for William for Christmas.
In fact, the entire Royal family are huge animal lovers!
Aside from the Queenโs Corgis and Prince Harry and Meghanโs pooches, Prince William and Duchess Catherine are the proud parents of their family pooch, black cocker spaniel Lupo.
We canโt wait until the first pictures of Prince Harry and Meghanโs new fur baby are released.
They say dogs are mans best friend, and this clearly rings true for the royal family!
