When Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry embarked on their whirlwind tour of Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga in 2018, all eyes were on the Duchess of Sussex.
Not only had she and her husband revealed that they were expecting their first child, but Meghan outdid herself with every single outfit she wore, whether she was sporting jeans or a ballgown.

So when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced that they would be visiting Africa for a 10 day royal tour with their son, Archie, we couldn’t wait to see the fashionable ensembles that Her Royal Highness would be modelling.
From the moment they touched down in Cape Town, Meghan looked positively radiant and it’s clear to see the new mum is a fan of shirt dresses.
The thrifty royal has also been recycling some of her favourite outfits- two dresses were first debuted on her last royal tour with Prince Harry back in 2018.

Duchess Meghan joined students and educators at The University of Johannesburg dressed in a nude trench dress from Banana Republic with Stuart Weitzman heels and a delicate bracelet by Alemdara.

At an engagement at Victoria Yards in Johannesburg, Duchess Meghan’s navy blue shirt dress was effortlessly fashionable, but that pop of colour from her red ballet flats is just perfect!

Duchess Meghan wore a floaty white top and jeans as she made a private visit to tie a ribbon at the site where Uyinene Mrwetyana, a 19-year-old Cape Town student who was murdered last month. The action was “to show solidarity with those who have taken a stand against gender based violence and femicide.”

For their first engagement in South Africa, Duchess Meghan wore a printed black and white Mayamiko Dalitso wrap dress, a fair trade fashion label from Malawi that retails for £69 (AU$126).

The dress was reportedly made from ethically-sourced organic cotton and stitched in the Mayamiko workshop, a charity that provides local artisans with job training. She finished her look with Castaner wedged espadrille sandals.
