It can be easy to forget the simple fact that Kate Middleton is a mum just like anyone else, but her latest move has given us a much-needed reminder in the very best way.
Kate might have the rather unique job of attending numerous VIP public engagements whilst wearing a plethora of three-figure clothing ensembles, but at the end of the day, she also enjoys the usual things like heading to the pub with fellow parents.
Yep, the Duchess, whose two eldest children Prince George and Princess Charlotte are now well into the new school year, was reportedly spotted at a Chelsea pub, where a meet-and-greet parents event was taking place.
According to The Sun, the event, held in October, was for parents of new pupils at the school, Thomas’s Battersea in London.
Given Charlotte started at the school in September, it would make sense for Kate to attend an evening getting to know the parents of her daughter’s classmates.
But there was one plaguing question we couldn’t help but voice: How did she manage to attend the evening unnoticed?
Kate is under the spotlight from media and photographers around the clock, with thousands of clips and photos surfacing of the Duchess each time she steps out in an official capacity.
But it seems that Kate employed a sneaky technique in order to attend the school evening in October – by using a top secret private entrance.
According to the Mail on Sunday, the pub in question is called the Hollywood Arms, and has a hidden doorway which is used for top secret entrances.
Yep, it all sounds very Harry Potter, but just like Hogwarts’ various secret passage ways, this establishment also offers a safe entrance from prying eyes – and Kate certainly seems to have benefited from it.
On the night, Kate reportedly enjoyed meeting the parents, and was accompanied by a subtle security team for the duration of the event.

This isn’t the first time the royal mum has been spotted doing “normal” things in public.
Yep, the Duchess was recently seen at a local Sainsbury’s in Norfolk, where her second country home Anmer Hall is located.
Comically, it was a shock to hear about one of the royals doing something as ordinary as heading to the grocery store, but Kate definitely keeps things real.
In fact, it’s common knowledge that Kate works hard to maintain a normal life outside of her royal duties, often choosing to do her own food shopping.
Kate’s recent visit to Sainsbury’s reportedly included two little helpers – George and Charlotte.
“It was lovely to see her just being a normal mum shopping with her kids…” an onlooker said at the time.
“I love how she just goes about her normal life, she is so down to earth”.
We can’t help but agree!
