Duchess Catherine has already made a name for herself as a style icon of our time, but her tour of Pakistan took things to the next level.
Stepping out in an array of stunning hues, unique silhouettes and traditional garments, we could not get enough of the royal’s numerous fashion wins as she and her husband Prince William took the South Asian country by storm.
As expected, there was one colour in particular that Kate donned more than any other – green.
Indeed the mossy hue is well-loved in Pakistan – not only is it the colour of their flag, but it’s also considered a customary colour of respect.
And true to form, the Duchess gave royal watchers a hint of what was to come before she arrived in Pakistan in early October, when she stepped out at London’s Aga Khan Centre in a gorgeous flowing teal dress featuring a green tie at the waist.
This might be the most fashionable foresight we’ve ever encountered…
As the royals touched down in Pakistan on Monday, October 15 for their most complex and security-heavy tour yet, our first glimpse of Kate was everything we had hoped for and more.
The stunning Duchess emerged wearing a breathtaking turquoise ensemble, which was custom designed in the traditional cut of a shalwar kameez, a dress often worn by women in numerous Southern Asian countries.
Throughout the duration of her tour, we witnessed Kate’s iconic style adapt and evolve to her unique surroundings, and boy was it a sight to behold.
Keep scrolling as we round up all of her best fashion moments from the tour.

Day 5 1
On her fifth and final day of the tour, Kate looked chic in a black longline coat by Beulah London. She paired it with some crisp white trousers by Gul Ahmed and Russell & Bromley flats to finish the look.
Day 5 3
Kate and William were visiting Islamabad’s Army Canine Centre, which helps to breed and train dogs to identify explosives. The scenes were frankly adorable as the two royals played with the joyful puppers!
Day 5 4
Earlier in the day, Kate was seen wearing a beautiful embroided tunic by Élan. She again wore her white Gul Ahmed trousers and added a pair of chic beige J.Crew heels.
Finishing the look, the Duchess added a wide black tote bag by Smythson. We don’t usually see royals carry bags of this size to their formal engagements, so it was refreshing to see Kate accessorise with something that we can take some major work-wear inspiration from!
Day 5 5
To top it off, Kate gave us even more inspiration by wearing her heels as she played a game of cricket. No easy feat!
Day 5 2
Kate ended the tour the way she started it – positively glowing.
Day four 2
On day four of the royal tour, Kate casually provided us with one of her most incredible outfits to date. Wearing a breathtaking teal and gold shalwar kameez, the beautiful ensemble was handmade by designer Maheen Khan, and was an off-the-rack purchase from London boutique O’nitaa.
Day four 3
The gorgeous French chiffon garment was hand embroided with gold silk by the tribespeople of Swarth in Pakistan.
Speaking to PEOPLE, store owner Onita Prasada said, “I love the way she wore the scarf, and the silk gold thread edging just reflects off her face so beautifully.” We wholeheartedly agree!
Day four 4
Kate glowed in the heavenly outfit as she and Prince William visited the Badshahi mosque – we can’t blame Wills for looking a little smitten!
Day four 5
Earlier on day four, Kate and Wills touched down in Islamabad where they visited a local school and tried their hand in a cricket tournament. But before the royals got into the rough and tumble of the sport, Kate stepped out in this heavenly white ensemble.
Designed by Pakistani label Gul Ahmed, the traditional shalwar kameez featured beautifully intricate gold detailing.
Day four 1
Kate accessorised the look with a Mulberry clutch and her favourite J.Crew suede pumps. Her hair worn in its signature loose waves, the royal oozed effortless chic.
Day four 6
But always ready to get into the thick of things, Kate made a quick wardrobe tweak as she stepped out to play a game of cricket. Styling her hair in a chic-yet-practical pony and wearing a pair of flat Hampton canvas sneakers, the Duchess was ready for action.
Day three
Kate opted for a practical, yet chic ensemble as she kicked off day three of the royal tour. Visiting the Chitral district of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Province, the royals spent the day embracing the colourful culture.
Day three 2
Kate’s earthy-toned ensemble consisted of a sleeveless waistcoat designed by Really Wild, a recycled look on the Duchess who previously wore the style on her royal tour of India and Bhutan. Kate also wore her Really Wild boots, pairing them with a brown skirt and shirt. She finished her look with a stunning pair of golden drop earrings.
Day three 3
As she and William landed in the province, the pair were given traditional Chitrali hats.
Day three 4
And Kate was also given an extra shawl – there’s nothing like an extra layer for warmth!
Day three 5
Later in the day, the pair visited the beautiful Kalash village in Chitral, where Kate swapped her white hat for a much brighter one – they were in their element!
The Duchess was quite literally glittering as she rounded out her first day of engagements on the royal tour to attend an evening reception. This stunning emerald green design, created by one of Kate’s favourites Jenny Packham, completely stole the show in the best way possible.
With thousands of glittering sequins and jewels adorned to the heavenly dress, Kate was sparkling from head to toe.
A matching scarf was draped across her left shoulder, which featured a chic soft shell hem cut and green tassels. On her ears, Kate wore a dazzling set of golden drop earrings by Onitaa.
Wills was also dressed to perfection, wearing a traditional sherwani in a teal shade that perfectly complimented his wife’s eye-catching ensemble.
In the afternoon of day one, Kate wore a beautiful green coat designed by Catherine Walker. Again, the Duchess added a beautiful printed green scarf to the look.
Finished with a pair of chic white trousers and pointy-toe flats, the royal epitomised effortless chic.

During the first morning of their tour, Kate opted to wear a beautiful purple kurta, which is a traditional outfit worn by both men and women in a number of South-Asian countries.
Made by local designer Maheen Khan, Kate’s ensemble was perfect for her morning spent with William visiting a local school.
Prince William talks about Princess Diana with Kate during Pakistan tour
Making her grand arrival in Pakistan, Kate kicked things off with a bang wearing this breathtaking traditional dress known as a shalwar kameez.
The turquoise design was custom-made for Kate by Catherine Walker. She paired it with matching pants and cream heels from Rupert Sanderson Malory.
And in a beautiful tribute, Kate’s outfit had plenty of similarities to a design worn by her mother-in-law – the ever stylish Princess Diana had her own iconic fashion moment in the South Asian country back in 1996.
