When Duchess Meghan announced she was pregnant, the world rejoiced – but Duchess Catherine and her young brood might have been the most excited of all, it seems.
While attending an official engagement at Leicester University on Wednesday, November 28, Catherine got chatting to a couple of avid royal fans who had come to see her, and what she had to say to them had all of our hearts melting.

When asked if she was excited about the arrival of Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry’s new baby, Kate animatedly replied: “Yeah, absolutely!” before adding: “It’s such a special time to have little kiddies.”
But it clearly isn’t just Catherine who is super excited for the arrival of the little one – her three children are also eagerly awaiting a new cousin (and playmate, of course).
“A cousin for George, Charlotte and Louis as well! It’s really, really special,” she said.

The royal mum-of-three also got to talking about young Louis – a rarity and a blessing for royal fans the world over.
“Louis’s getting bigger, I can’t believe he’s like seven months, he’s getting to be a big boy,” she gushed.
As for her other two kiddies? Kate couldn’t forget them when discussing the excitement of Christmas time.
“They’re getting excited for Christmas time, because they’ve started all their Christmas songs and the Christmas trees are going up,” she said.
The visit to Leicester was a poignant one as Kate and William paid their respects to five people who had died in a helicopter crash in October.
The crash rocked the football world as Leicester City chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha was in the helicopter, along with five others.
The couple walked around the tribute site before meeting people who had known the five people.
Wearing a beautiful grey coat by designer Catherine Walker and plain black heels, the Duchess looked striking as she and her husband expressed their sympathy.
The event comes after a busy month for the pair, who celebrated Prince Charles’ 70th Birthday and attended a number of formal engagements.
This included the Remembrance Day ceremonies, of which the royals all attended a number of services over the span of two days.
The couple stepped out in their best attires for the Festival of Remembrance as part of the occasion, and both looked remarkably at ease despite the flurry of events.
Later in the month, Kate stepped out in a stunning berry red ensemble at the University College London. There, she visited Developmental Risk and Resilience Unit in the Psychology & Language Sciences Division.
During the visit, Kate learned about the department’s research into neuroscience and how the environment shapes how a child develops socially and emotionally.
The mum-of-three also joined in a round meeting table with the research team.
With Christmas now just around the corner, it doesn’t look like things will be slowing down anytime soon for the royal parents!
