If there’s one person we can rely on in this world to nail a dress code, it would be Duchess Catherine – and her latest cross-country jaunt has done nothing to quell the feat.
On Wednesday, February 12, the Duchess paid a surprise visit to a Northern Irish farm, in the first of two poignant stop-offs in support of a nation-wide landmark survey she launched last month.
For the fun-filled engagement, all eyes were on Kate’s outfit, which was the perfect mix of casual farm chic. And yes, this stylish combo is hereby the new go-to trend.
Pulling up at the Ark Open Farm in Newtownards, Kate was all smiles in her olive Seeland jacket.
She paired the look with a pair of black jeans and her favourite Penelope Chilver knee-high boots.
Underneath, she wore a beautiful blue roll neck jumper from British retailer John Lewis.
While the cooler winter temperatures haven’t technically reached Australia yet, we’re counting down the days till we can recreate this look!
During the visit, Kate met with locals and animals alike.
At one point, she bonded with a beautiful alpaca, before meeting young children, with whom she helped feed a baby lamb.
The pictures speak for themselves – they’re too cute!
And while Kate would no doubt have been delighted to see so many animals in one spot, there was one animal in particular that would give plenty of people heebie jeebies – a snake, just casually.
Apparently, the Duchess wasn’t fazed at all – she handled the snake like a pro!
Later in the day, Kate travelled to Aberdeen in Scotland, where she visited a cafe named Social Bite.
The company helps social enterprises and distributes food and hot drinks to people who are experiencing homelessness.
For the visit, Kate made a very quick outfit tweak while she was outdoors – she changed out of her olive parker jacket and replaced it with a beautiful grey Reiss cocoon coat.
We also got a closer look at the Duchess’ gorgeous blue John Lewis knit, which looked super snug.
Coming in at AUD$249.00, it’s a bit of a splurge, but the style is timeless. Winter will roll around eventually, after all…
Kate’s whirlwind one-day UK tour came after she launched a nation-wide survey to gain insight on early childhood.
