Duchess Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s home is open to the public – well sort of!
Very lucky members of the public got within just three metres of the Sussex private residence, Frogmore Cottage, when the grounds were opened to the public.
According to the Daily Mail UK, insiders were “surprised” that the scheduled public open days went ahead following the birth of baby Archie.
To get up close and personal with the residence, you only have to pay £7 ($12 AUD) which admits you into the annual open day, however, as can be expected, it was surrounded by MI5 style security.
The grounds of Frogmore Estate are opened to the public for three days of the year as part of the National Garden Scheme and visitors can wander around at their own will.
A journalist by the name of Sophia Money Coutts tweeted an open house sign as said:
“Roughly a million policemen hanging about with guns and have already heard a chap say Frogmore Cottage ‘doesn’t look very nice’ whereupon his wife shot him a Look [sic]”
She then added: “Although how they’re getting Archie to sleep under this flight path is beyond me. Absolute racket.”

There’s no word on whether the Sussexes (and most importantly Archie) were home, but we’re going to take a good guess and say no, especially considering Prince Harry was at a Garden Party at Buckingham Palace the same afternoon.
Other guests tweeted pictures of gorgeous properties and surrounding lush greenery and it’s no wonder they royals love living here!
Last year, before Duchess Meghan and her Prince moved in, Kensington Palace announced in an official statement: “Windsor is a very special place for Their Royal Highnessess and they are grateful that their official residence will be on the estate.”
The sprawling residence, which was gifted to the couple from The Queen, sits within the private Home Park and looks out onto the stunning grounds of Frogmore House.
Indeed, the sacred grounds of Frogmore hold a special place in Meghan and Harry.
In December 2018, the couple’s breathtaking engagement shoot were captured by renowned fashion snapper Alexi Lubomirski at Frogmore House.
Then in May last year, the royal love birds returned to Windsor for their historical wedding at St George’s Chapel followed by reception celebrations at Frogmore House.
