No, thine eyes do not deceive you. That really is Princess Anne laughing.
Donning a purple and green frock coat and a purple fascinator topped with a rose, the Princess Royal enjoyed both the sunshine and the company, showing the attendees of a royal garden party a rare smile and a laugh.
Lucky garden party goers were twice blessed, as Queen Elizabeth also seemed to be in high spirits. Smiling and laughing as she greeted guests, the Queen didn’t seem fazed by her big day yesterday, where she delivered her Queen’s Speech at the House of Lords.
Princess Beatrice was also in attendance, wearing a delicate grey floral dress with a white blazer and a nude fascinator. She was joined by her great-uncle, the Queen’s first cousin, Prince Michael of Kent and his wife, Princess Michael of Kent – who was wearing a slick velvet eye patch.
Anne, the Princess Royal, was seen laughing at a recent garden party.
Wearing a purple and green ensemble, the Princess chatted to guests.
Her mother, Queen Elizabeth, was also in a happy mood.
After her big day yesterday, the Queen shelved the royal jewels and ermine furs for a pink coat and hat.
Looking chic, Princess Beatrice also came to party. She wore a delicate floral dress.
No royal event is complete without a strange hat or two, and Princess Beatrice’s millinery confection was right up there.
She was however, out done by her great-aunt, the formidable Princess Michael of Kent. Wearing a white and black spotted dress and blazer, and looking a little bit like a chic pirate, the Princess covered an eye injury with a velvet eye patch.
Her hat sported a single white feather stem, and she teamed it with some seriously big pearls.
