The Prince Harry and Meghan Markle love-story telemovie aired on Channel Seven last night, and viewers have plenty to say about the surprisingly good production. If you missed out, don’t panic, it’s available to watch on the networks free streaming service 7plus.
Though Harry And Meghan: A Royal Romance was expected to fall under the ‘so bad it’s good’ category, many fans have been left impressed by the acting ability of the lead stars, Murray Fraser and Parisa Fitz-Henley. It’s kind of uncharacteristic for a Lifetime telemovie – anyone remember the truly awful William & Kate flick?
Meanwhile, others enjoyed the creativity of the plot. Do we really think Harry – Prince of England and one of the most-recognised men on the planet – snuck in to a Halloween party wearing a frog costume? HA! An unlikely tale. Equally unlikely was the scene where the Suits actress broke up with Harry, only to dramatically run to stop his plane.
One thing everyone seemed to agree on, was that Prince William and Kate Middleton probably wouldn’t appreciate how they were portrayed. The producers really did ’em dirty!
All in all, though, the film actually made for highly entertaining viewing – which means there are plenty of hilarious Twitter reactions to scroll through.
