Congratulations are in order! Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, has given birth to a healthy baby girl. And now she has a name!
Kensington Palace has announced she will be named Charlotte Elizabeth Diana. “The baby will be known as Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte of Cambridge,” they tweeted.
After being admitted to Lindo Wing, in St Mary’s Hospital, at 6am May 2, the now mother-of-two, has given birth to her second child, a daughter, with husband, Prince William. William was reportedly by her side during her labour.
The baby weighs 8lbs 3oz and is doing well.
Her first child, Prince George, was born at the same wing, just 20 months ago.
It is expected that a notice with the details of the birth will be placed on a golden easel outside Buckingham Palace.
Kate and William’s son, Prince George, however, is not in attendance.
It was reported by The Mirror that the soon-to-be big brother is waiting at Kensington Palace with grandparents, Carole and Michael Middleton..
Congratulations are flooding Twitter including a special message from British Prime Minister, David Cameron, who wished the Duke and Duchess all the best.
