The boys from Budgy Smugglers have had a special pair or trunks made up for Prince George and Prince William hoping to give them to the Duke and Duchess when they walk by for this Good Friday visit to Manly Beach.
Jordan Allen and Giovanni Testini are so committed to their mission they donned a pair of Union Jack smugglers themselves and their stunt is certainly attracting attention.
“Budgie smugglers are an Aussie institution,” Giovanni tells me.
No doubt Tony Abbott who is greeting the couple on the beach today would agree.
The couple will see NSW Surf Lifesavers in action, although whether the Prime Minister, who is a member of Queenscliff Surf Lifesaving, will be demonstrating remains to be seen.
