Weโll file this one in the Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphriesโ book of blink-and-you-miss-it marriages.
On Tuesday nightโs episode of Married At First Sight, runaway bride Lauren finally met up with Andrew to explain her gut-wrenching smoke bomb on their wedding night.
And it was uncomfortable from the minute she walked into the room with her tail between her legs and giggled โawkiesโ as she hugged Andrew.
Their meeting was mediated by the showโs psychologist, Dr John Aiken, who quizzed Lauren on her brazen disappearing act.
โItโs been very stressful the last few monthsโฆ I wasnโt myself on the day. I was a lot more out of sorts than what I normally would be,โ the single mother began.

Andrew isnโt giving Lauren a second chance.
When asked about her first impression of her new partner, Lauren harshly revealed: โI was like โOmg Iโm glad I didnโt wear heels.โ That was something that did go through my mind, that sounds so vein but I was expecting someone quite tall, being that I am quite a tall girl. That sounds so awful.โ
Yeah, ya think?
โMaybe you thought Iโd be on a flight straight home but Iโve been hanging around. Itโs been a bit frustrating whatโs been going on. Not knowing what the reasons were has been a bit hard,โ he said.
โBottom line, it was just someone [who] had not liked the way I looked and that was enough for them to take off,โ Andrew added.
While we could feel Andrewโs fragile heart break into a million little pieces, Lauren insisted she ultimately bailed for the sake of her 11-year-old son Dylan.
โI was thinking you hadnโt had kids. That was something I was hoping for and wantedโฆ Somebody that had been through a broken marriage, that had kids. People show empathy but some people donโt have it til you have kids and have come through a broken relationship,โ she said.
โIt wasnโt about looks. Thereโs a lot more at stake for me than what there is for you. Iโm trying to think of my son, my future and putting that first, rather than an experiment. Itโs important, but far more important than taking that gamble.โ
After outlining her concerns, Andrew revealed he was, in fact, pretty good with kids.
โItโs ironic because I spent ten years mentoring 12-year-olds and I love kids. I relate to that age really well,โ he explained.
Before adding: โI thought we had fun on the night, we could have hung out pretty happily.โ
An emotional Lauren continued: โI felt kind of vulnerable. I wear my heart on my sleeve and Iโm scared of getting hurt. It was my way of dealing with things, thatโs how I do thing sometimes. I do run away.โ

Lauren says she smoke-bombed because she felt vulnerable.
When the psychologist asked Andrew if heโd be willing to give their short-lived relationship a second chance, the gutted 38-year-old didnโt hesitate with his answer.
โNo, I donโt think so. Not the way it played outโฆ The things that you need to rely on with a partner and a team mate werenโt there, so they might not be again,โ a shattered Andrew said.
โI can understand that. I apologise. I would like to remain friendsโฆ If you donโt want to stay friends, I get it. It was good to apologise face-to-face,โ Lauren conceded.
Something tell us they wonโt be grabbing a coffee anytime soon.
