Only a few weeks into the singing competition and the 56-year-old has already taken several swipes at fellow coaches Delta Goodrem and Kelly Rowland.

And now TV WEEK can reveal George’s bad-boy behaviour is only getting started.

“Yeah, we really go for it,” Kelly, 37, says. “I don’t hold back.”

The former member of Destiny’s Child says viewers can expect plenty of squabbling between the pair this season.

Boy George has been a controversial coach on this season of The Voice.

When she recalls a particular argument that took place during filming, Kelly admits George’s attitude shocked her.

“You’ve gotta watch him,” she warns.

“There was one moment with George where I said something, and he kind of looked at me, like, ‘I can’t believe you just said that,’ and I said, ‘I can’t believe you did’ and we went back and forth about it.”

In an upcoming episode, fans will see Kelly and George go head-to-head over Western Australia DJ Sam Perry during the Knockouts.

Before his blind audition, the 28-year-old was heavily promoted as the most controversial Voice artist ever. And that’s exactly what he’s been.

While Kelly believes Sam is a real “game changer” in the competition, George thinks the opposite. He says it’s unfair that Sam is even in the competition at all.

“That’s the most frustrating part,” Kelly says.

Kelly believes Sam is a real “game changer”.

But she isn’t the only one finding it hard to deal with. Sam tells TV WEEK he felt humiliated after the icon tore into him.

“I didn’t see it coming,” the loop artist explains. “I wasn’t expecting such an attack. It was uncomfortable.”

Sam adds he felt George’s tactics were out of line. Despite having a strong opinion about Sam, George did turn his chair for the DJ during the blind audition.

“If I had chosen him [as my coach], he wouldn’t say anything,” Sam maintains.

He says in the wake of his audition, he’s been slammed on social media thanks to George’s harsh remarks.

“I don’t think he realises the backlash of his comments,” Sam says. “If he says anything else out of line, I’ll fire back.”
