Team Rita – Lachie Gill
Melbourne P.E. teacher Lachie was bound for the AFL field before his passion for music usurped his career plans.
“As soon as I could walk I had a footy in my hand. I was one step away from my dream of playing footy at the highest level, but music started to take over,” he revealed in his Blind Audition.
“Ultimately I had to choose. I love footy, but I love music even more.”
The Battle Rounds saw Lachie and Robbie Dolan singing for their life. In a close contest, Lachie’s raw and vulnerable performance of I Guess I’m In Love by Clinton Kane saw him victorious, as Rita admitted: “You were both spectacular up there, you both deserve to be on that stage.”
Lachie locked in his Grand Finale spot with a captivating rendition of Déjà Vu by Olivia Rodrigo over Xanthe Campbell’s abcdefu by Gayle.
“He’s worked so hard. He steps it up a notch every single time. You’re everything one can look for in creating a superstar,” coach Rita said.
A visibly shocked Lachie said: “Every week a fire is burning. I just want to keep going and keep going. I have learnt so much but I am just having so much fun. I don’t want this to stop.”
Team Jess – Faith Sosene
After an emotional performance of Because You Loved Me by Celine Dion, dedicated to her mum who she takes care of every day, 24-year-old Faith moved all four judges.
Jess, in particular, was touched by the audition and gave the winning pitch to the singer, surprising Faith with the season’s first battle pass.
“I’m really happy I can give back (to my mum) by showing her the compassion that she showed to me growing up,” Faith said.
In the Battle Rounds, Faith’s show-stopping performance of Aretha Franklin’s Ain’t No Way cemented her Semi-Final spot. Jess acknowledged: “It comes down to who I think fought harder just now, because that fight is what you need to win.”
Faith proved she deserved her Grand Finale place after Jess set the challenge to “give yourself permission now to believe in yourself”.
Faith’s powerful delivery of Beyoncé’s Listen moved her superstar coach to tears as she took Faith to the Grand Finale over Jael Wena, who performed Dua Lipa’s Don’t Start Now.
“Wow, it feels like a dream,” Faith said.

Team Guy – Jordan Tavita
An emotional performance of Michael Jackson’s Man in the Mirror earned 23-year-old Jordan four chair turns in the Blind Auditions, through he eventually chose to join Guy’s team.
“This is going to be the first time that I’m going to be able to make a change… by just taking the first step,” Jordan said in the lead up to his audience.
Jordan cemented his Grand Finale spot over Cassidy Mackie with an emotional performance of Foreigner’s I Want To Know What Love Is, dedicated to his Nanna.
“She took her last breath two nights ago,” he said. “I just know my Nanna is looking down at me right now saying you better come through, so I’m going to do this for her.”
After the announcement, a shocked Jordan said: “My head is still spinning, Guy let’s get to work!”
Team Keith – Thando Sikwila
Bringing her three-year-old daughter, Charlie, along for her blind audition, Melbourne singer-songwriter Thando Sikwila showcased her impressive pipes during a rendition of Chaka Khan’s I’m Every Woman.
“There is nothing wrong with following your ambitions and still wanting to be a mum. It is possible to live your dreams,” Thando said, adding that it was her daughter that “inspired” her to take the Voice stage.
“I think that whatever you do and wherever you go, it’s going to be spectacular,” Rita said her after the audition.
In the Semi-Finals, Thando secured her Grand Finale berth with a spinetingling interpretation of Ariana Grande’s POV against Lane’s Father And Son by Cat Stevens.
Keith scored Thando’s “superb” performance “100 out of 100”.
“Thank you so much for believing in me. I cannot believe that I am the last woman standing on your team!” she said after progressing through.
