It just a matter of days until The Voice returns to our screens for 2020 and we can’t wait to see the incredible performers who get those big red chairs turning.
We’ve already seen a glimpse of what’s to come in tantalising teasers for the show, and now we meet the show’s first contenders.
Each of the hopefuls will be competing for a spot on one of the four judges’ teams.
All four coaches, Guy Sebastian, Kelly Rowland, Delta Goodrem and Boy George, return this year, although one revealed that wasn’t always the plan.
“We weren’t meant to come back this year,” Guy Sebastian told TV WEEK.
But all four coaches weren’t ready to say goodbye to the show they’d come to love, or each other (at least when they’re not fighting over a contestant).
“It’s undoubtedly the best TV experience I’ve had,” Guy added. “The fire this year is from Kelly [Rowland], she has come back ready to win this season.”
Also back this year is host, Darren McMullen with help from Renee Bargh, both of whom are taking over from Sonia Kruger after she made the jump to Channel Seven to host Big Brother.
Before the show kicks off this Sunday May 24th with the Blind Auditions, we can reveal who will be taking the stage first.
Chris Sebastian
Chris Sebastian
If the striking resemblance wasn’t a dead giveaway the name should confirm your suspicions – Chris is the brother of The Voice coach and popstar, Guy Sebastian.
The singer announced he has auditioned for this year’s show via Instagram writing: “I’ve had a few people message me in last week saying “hey there’s a brown bloke on the voice add that looks like you” so I think it’s time to announce this haha.
“So stoked to be apart of the show this year! It’s gonna be wild.”
This isn’t Chris’ first time on the show, however it is the first since his brother has been a coach.
But, will Guy turn his chair?
