It’s not The Block if there’s not spouts of drama dispersed between the show’s scaffolding.

Last year, it was a cheating scandal, and this time around it seems that a feud is brewing between Sharon and Sarah Jane.

On Monday night’s episode, while sitting around the table for dinner, Sharon was upset after Sarah Jane made a joke at her and Ankur’s expense.

Sarah Jane’s joke didn’t land well with Sharon.

After host Scott gave out a painting tip, a debate broke out at the table as to who was this season’s ‘worst painters’.

When one self-deprecating contestant suggested they were the worst, Sarah Jane was quick to jump in and refute it while taking a jab at Ankur and Sharon in the process.

“That’s a lie ’cause Sharon and Anks are the worst painters,” she laughed, adding that she was simply calling a “spade a spade”.

While the comment received chuckles during the meal, Sharon wasn’t laughing while talking to the producers about the incident.

“Lovely Sarah Jane made a comment of ‘Well, Shaz and Anks are the worst at painting’. And my heart just sank and in that moment I went quiet. I felt like we were being laughed at behind our backs, but in front of us in a group setting, and it’s not cool. It’s nasty,” Sharon said.

“It’s just rude, it’s unnecessary, it makes you feel like crap.

“And if I wanted to be rude back, I could say that the last two weeks we beat you on crap painting and the idea alone, but I’m not an a-sehole,” she added.

“She’s so self-absorbed, she wouldn’t care. Some people just get away with being rude because that’s their personality.”

Blockheads were quick to react to the brewing feud, with some choosing sides and some wanting to opt out of the drama.

“I’m sure no harm was meant but sometimes things are better left unsaid,” one viewer mused.

“I don’t think it was meant spitefully- some people are more sensitive. It would have been better if Sharon took it as a joke and just laughed,” another added.

“And maybe the editing turned it into something it wasn’t 💁🏼‍♀️. Really hope that drama doesn’t become a part of this series after such a good start to the season. Especially after the ridiculous elements of last season,” a third suggested.

But in a preview for tonight’s episode, it looks like we haven’t seen the last of the feud.

We’ll have to wait and see what happens next.
