The Block “villains” Sharon and Ankur have doubled down on claims their builder stole from them to renovate his own bathroom.

On Monday night’s episode, Sharon and Ankur confronted their carpenter Scotty and builder Liam after two of their basins went missing and additional tiles were ordered under the embattled couple’s Beaumont Tiles account.

Speaking on HIT WA’s Allan & Carly radio show on Tuesday morning, Sharon said she was “100 per cent” sure their builder was stealing from them.

“It was a really awkward situation we had to deal with, but it had been happening over a period of time and we tried to keep it behind the cameras because we know people have businesses and reputations to look after, but when they went at us for our budget, it just kind of came out,” Sharon said.

“He was ordering tiles for his home, he was re-doing his bathroom renovation and taking some sinks as well. The thing that was gross, because when we started talking about it during hallway week he said he was ordering them for our house – but we didn’t need tiles for hallway week.

“And they were pink tiles so it was just not great. To be honest, we didn’t have their support from the beginning. I can tell you this, we’ve never had that many awkward conversations in our whole life!”

However, a tradesman working for Sharon and Ankur has since rubbished the couple’s accusations, claiming many tradies weren’t being paid.

“Many tradies in our house had issues being paid by them throughout the entire 12 weeks of building. It continued even after production had ended for months, I might add,” the tradie told So Dramatic!

Earlier this week Sharon exclusively revealed to TV WEEK that they were disappointed by their building team’s lack of leadership and support.

“We didn’t feel supported when we put forward ideas and suggestions that could have taken our home to the next level, which was upsetting,” Sharon said.

“Any building site can be like a hair salon on a bad day, filled with gossip. We were really disappointed to hear they were talking on camera behind our backs without speaking to us directly about issues that were exaggerated for TV.”
