Serial property flippers Mitch Edwards and Mark McKie aren’t the only couple whose relationship has been put under the pump in what is shaping up to be one of the most controversial seasons of The Block ever!
Woman’s Day can reveal that parents Deb and Andy Saunders are starting to feel the strain from the gruelling build.
The mother-of-four was looking strained as she had a tense conversation with her husband on site. The business owner then appeared emotional and distressed as she attempted to have a break from production.
“She was completely over it,” says an onlooker. “She appeared to be wiping away tears – it just wasn’t her day.”
Last month, Deb, 45, revealed she struggled being away from her four kids during filming, after she and Andy, 47, were forced to miss their 14-year-old daughter Luca’s school presentation.
“It’s always the kids that bring us undone,” confessed the emotional mum.

Mitch & Mark’s auction scandal
It appears Mitch and Mark can’t keep out of the drama this season! Last week, an anonymous caller told 2Day FM’s Hughesy & Kate show that the grandads may have already secured a secret buyer ahead of the show’s auction next month.
“[Mitch and Mark] already got a pre-determined buyer, that’s why they did the entertainment area rather than a master bedroom – they are actually building to spec for a buyer,” insisted the controversial caller, who implied the grandads are staging a rigged auction result.
But speaking to Woman’s Day, the couple insist there’s no truth to the scandal but agree it’s a “fantastic suggestion”, adding, “Sorry to be the bearer of truth, but we don’t have a buyer yet. If anyone would line up buyers early, it would be [real estate agent] Jesse.”
Nine confirmed to Woman’s Day that “looking for buyers early isn’t against Block rules, and even if they did find someone, it wouldn’t be breaking any rules”.
Jess Eva: ‘The Block changed my life!’
Their constant banter made Queensland couple Jess Eva and Norm Hogan 2018’s most lovable Blockheads. But when the mum-of-two revealed she’d gained 10kg and temporarily split from her partner of nearly 10 years recently, her life appeared to be in turmoil.
Today, Jess has managed to gain a new lease of life, thanks to her role as Lite n’ Easy ambassador. “Life has been thrown upside down, but in a life-changing unbelievable way!” Jess tells *Woman’s Day.
“The money we won allowed us to pay off all our debts and not be held ransom to loans, credit cards or cars,” she adds.
