While most people are taking advantage of their time in lockdown to rest and refresh, it appears Scotty Cam is working hard to get himself into the shape of his life – and the results speak for themselves!
The 57-year-old showcased his muscular new frame and slimmed-down waist on social media last week, telling fans he’s using his home gym to get buff before The Block hits our screens later this year.
“Training hard in the cave gym during isolation,” the Gold Logie winner wrote.
“Trying to counteract my beer intake,” he joked.
In recent years, the lovable presenter has raised eyebrows with his changing physique on the reno show, saying that since he’s hit 40, he’s “woken up the size of a doona”.
“I’ve tried to stay fit and healthy, I don’t mind a beer,” he once said, before admitting cheese and bickies are his weakness.
“But as you get old the metabolism slows down and you struggle to keep the weight off.”
His weight isn’t the only thing changing for the popular tradie.
Since he joined The Block in 2010, we’ve watched host Scott shout though our screens, guiding more than 60 couples through the ultimate renovation project.
But the TV legend told TV WEEK last year he can’t help but think about putting his tools down – for good!
While Scott says he’s still contracted to the Nine Network “for quite a while yet”, he’s found himself fantasising about his retirement years recently.
“I was thinking about it the other day, ‘What is going to happen next?'” he revealed, before confessing that he is struggling to think about a time where he’s not working.
“I might be in trouble – another three years and I will be 60,” he conceded. “That’s staying in one show for a long time.”
