The Block host Scott Cam has confirmed to TV WEEK rumours that Kylie Minogue will make a guest appearance on the upcoming season of the hit show.
Talking to TV WEEK at the TV WEEK Logie Awards, the star said they’d managed to arrange a meeting for one of the teams while she was in Melbourne on her tour earlier this year.
“She’s an old friend of mine,” Scott, 56, said.
But the question remains: did Kylie get her hands dirty on site of this year’s mammoth renovation site, The Oslo Hotel?
“C’mon, we’re not putting Kylie in a hard hat!” Scott laughed.
“I think there are some things even Kylie wouldn’t do,” co-host Shelley Craft added.
Speaking about the new series, the pair hint it’s going to be the most dramatic to date.
St Kilda’s 1850s Oslo Hotel will be transformed into five terraced houses – the largest site in The Block’s history and measuring at almost twice the size of The Gatwick.
“There will be meltdowns,” Shelley, 43, said.
“Even I had a few meltdowns,” Scott added. “It was too big. I only needed one team to finish, because that would mean it wasn’t too big and that everybody could’ve finished. That’s an indication that there’s trouble right from the outset.”
