The fireproofer from Victoria has proved a fun and lively partner for Angie, but when his own brother and his best friend raised concerns over his party-boy persona during the home visit, it left the Bachelorette questioning if Timm was the one for her.

“Angie thought I was a bit of a loose cannon,” Timm, 27, tells TV WEEK. “I’ve spent a lot of time trying to convince her otherwise.”

“I was so stressed about what they had said,” he recalls. “It was the worst possible timing.”

Hoping Angie would see past the comments, Timm admits he didn’t expect to fall for the Bachelorette so quickly.

“I was open to everything,” he declares. “But I never thought my feelings would have become as real as they have.”

Heading in to the finale, Angie admits to TV WEEK she wasn’t sure which man she would choose.

“To honest, I was completely and utterly torn – Natalie Imbruglia-style. I wanted to moosh them all together and have them as one person.”

Though she wasn’t sure who she would choose, Angie was certain she had a strong connection with Timm.

“He kept me sane even though he is insane. I laughed until I cried, felt safe with him and always felt like a schoolgirl in his company,” she says. “I felt we were soulmates.”
