Matt Agnew will soon be seen on screens handing out roses as the newest Bachelor. But according to new Bachelorette Angie Kent, Matt is no longer the unlucky-in-love astrophysicist.
“I’ve heard this quite a bit as of late, but Matt has found the love of his life, which I’m so stoked for. I think that I will too,” Angies tells TV WEEK at the 61st annual TV WEEK Logie Awards.
“But don’t get me wrong, he is a beautiful specimen and he’s smart and he’s funny and he’s everything I look for in a man, but I know that my one is still out there.”
With Angie set to kick off her own season of The Bachelorette Australia later this year, she admits she’s excited.
“I have been through a lot of life experiences and I survived the jungle [during I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!] and it was the best thing that ever happened to me,” she said.
“I was ready [for The Bachelorette] before they offered it to me. It’s amazing it was just the timing of the universe really.

Meanwhile, her Gogglebox and I’m Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here co-star Yvie Jones will be cheering her on from the sidelines.
“Yvie is always supportive of me. It’s hard that we don’t ever see each other or can talk about it, because I’m in lockdown. But we always support each other.
Yvie says that a man “needs to be funny and like dogs” to win over her friend Angie.
But Yvie wasn’t spilling any secrets when it comes to whether Angie found the man of her dreams on the show – in fact, it’s so top secret, she’s not even allowed to watch it.
“I have no idea. She’s got no phone, she’s in lockdown,” Yvie says, admitting she’ll have to find out by watching The Bachelorette like the rest of Australia.
Yvie adds that she’s not used to not speaking to Angie for such a long period.
“The first week she went in, I was feeling so flat and then I realised it was because I hadn’t spoken to her in so long.” she admits.
