After so many seasons of The Bachelorette Australia, history is bound to repeat itself from time to time.
And Brooke Blurton and Darvid’s first date on this season’s second episode is giving us a major sense of déjà vu!
We knew the dashing ‘Persian Prince’ had made a big impression on Brooke when he received the white rose on the first night of The Bachelorette 2021.
This guaranteed him the first single date and cemented his place as a frontrunner in the race for Brooke’s heart.
In the second episode, Darvid and Brooke will set out on a high-flying helicopter date to what we can only assume is the Blue Mountains in NSW, based on the scenery in the previews.
Taking their date to the next level, they’ll enjoy a romantic picnic while hanging off a rock cliff face.
And if that sounds familiar, it’s because this was exactly the same date that led another Bachelorette AND Bachelor to pick their winners.
In 2020, Elly Miles brought Frazer Neate on a very similar date in the Blue Mountains.
Going on the terrifying, but very cool, Scenic Skyway, the pair were then lowered down to enjoy champagne at dizzying heights.
It was a step up from 2013, when the very first Bachelor, Tim Robards, brought Anna Heinrich on the Scenic Skyway to enjoy a picnic on top of the famous yellow cablecar.
While Brooke doesn’t appear to be taking Darvid on the Skyway itself, the principle remains.

Stellar views and an out-of-this-world thrill are a winning combination, with these adventurous dates have led to both Elly and Tim declaring their dates as The One at season’s end.
Is this a sign Darvid could win Brooke’s heart in the finale?
Based on the latest clues, it certainly seems like he’s the favourite to win.
The 27-year-old made his Bachelorette debut on a ride-on lawnmower, wowing Brooke as they shared their first conversation.
“The connection with Darvid is really strong already. It’s a really nice feeling,” Brooke can be heard saying in Darvid’s introductory video.
“Everyone’s threatened by him. Everyone’s jealous of him.”
Looks like they’ll be even more jealous this evening, after he spends the first one-on-one date with Brooke.
The Bachelorette Australia airs Wednesday and Thursday, 7:30pm, on 10.
