Ali Oetjen chose to “take a risk” on Taite Radley in The Bachelorette Australia finale.

Though she went on the show to find a husband and begin her journey towards becoming a mother – within a three year time-frame – Ali said she was willing to put it all on the line for her slightly less-committed suitor Taite.

In a turn of events, Taite revealed to Ali during their final one-on-one date that he wasn’t ready to “commit” to marriage and children.

He said that Ali’s rigid timeline was holding him back from saying those three magic words: “let’s get pizza.” Kidding, of course, those words were the all-important “I love you.”

“Everything I see in you is what I want,” Taite said. “But the only thing that scares me is your timeline. You want them [marriage and kids] so fast.”

Despite the shock revelation, Ali chose to say goodbye to the ever-perfect Todd King and take a chance on Taite.

“I feel like we would have such a perfect life together but something is missing for me,” Ali told Todd. “I can’t explain what I’m feeling but one thing I know now about love is that it’s not just about ticking off a checklist.”

Ali was overjoyed to choose Taite, even though she knew it was a risk.

“I know Taite’s not going to say I love you and I’m okay with that,” Ali said before the final rose ceremony. “I just can’t wait to tell him. I am bursting with happiness.”

As it turns out, Taite was more than happy to drop the L word once he knew he was Ali’s chosen suitor.

“I came in to this journey to find love and I can honestly say I have found it with you,” Taite told a tearful Ali, before giving her a commitment ring.

Taite and Ali have the look of love about them!
