Timm Hanly has opened up on his split from Angie Kent, following a heartbreaking finale of The Bachelorette Australia.
The couple said their goodbyes in an emotional final episode, before Angie declared her love for winner Carlin Sterritt.
In a final display of his affection for Angie, Timm spent their final moments comforting her, despite his own heartbreak.
“I’m gutted, I just don’t want to see you cry,” he confessed to Angie, when she asked why he wasn’t crying.
“Be happy. We have had the best…do not cry over it, we have had the best time together. It’s just the situation we’re in and I’m just so happy that I’ve met you and I’ve cherished every moment with you.”
Moments later, Timm broke down when he was alone with producers.
Now, months after filming has wrapped, Timm admits it was one of the hardest things he’s ever done.
“It was good, it was just really hard to be so vulnerable and open,” he tells 10 Daily.
He tells the publication he thought he would be the one to end up with Angie.
“I deadset thought 100 percent that I was going to win, that I was going to be ending up with her,” he admits.
“I was shocked, but then I wasn’t at the same time. It was such a mixed bag of emotions.”
The star admits he struggled since leaving the show, especially since he hasn’t seen Angie since they filmed the finale.
Fortunately for fans though, who are calling for him to be The Bachelor in 2020, Timm reveals he hasn’t ruled out returning to reality TV.
I’d definitely be open to doing something like [‘The Bachelorette’] again,” he said, “although it didn’t work out the way I wanted it to, it was definitely one of the best times I’ve ever had in my life. A hundred per cent open to doing something like it again.”
