Ever since he burst on to our screens with a glorious bouquet of sunflowers and a luscious head of hair, Timm Hanly has become a firm fan-favourite on The Bachelorette Australia.
The 27-year-old Fireproofer has also been a frontrunner in the eyes of Angie Kent, who’s even referred to him as her “soulmate” in the lead up to finale week.
Though, we have a sneaking suspicion we’re about to be Matty J’d – you know, crushed beyond all measure when the Bachelorette breaks up with the runner-up, who we thought would win.
While we really, truly, hope to see this whacky doofus end up with Angie, all the signs are currently pointing to Carlin for the win (read the latest conspiracy theory here).
Let’s take a stroll down memory lane ahead of Thursday night’s finale, to look at Angie and Timm’s gorgeous love story…
Red Carpet
First out of the limo, and first to make an impression on Angie (and Australia), Timm wowed the Bachelorette by delivering her a stunning bunch of sunflowers.
Sunflowers just so happen to be Angie’s favourite flower, because of her beloved grandmother, Nanny Fae, who passed away shortly before filming began.
Angie took it as a sign from her grandmother that Timm was one to watch.

Lobster
Timm got served a raw deal during the group photoshoot, landing the lobster costume while Matt Whyatt got to be Angie’s mermaid king.
He handled the ‘stitch up’ with humour, even cracking up Angie with his on-set antics.

First single date
Timm scored the third single date for the season, heading off for a day of fun with Angie.

The pair sat beneath twinkly lights and watched as some of Timm’s embarassing childhood snaps were projected on to a screen. Cue Timm gushing about his family, and Angie falling for him.
“If that won’t sweep you off your feet, I don’t know what will,” Timm joked of his sweet childhood snaps.

There was no shortage of romantic Bachie music as Timm and Angie shared their first kiss. Let the violins play!
“Look I’ll be honest, I still can’t make heads or tails of Timm, but all I know is he certainly makes me feel alive,” Angie told the cameras after their date.
“It’s exciting, not knowing what’s going to happen from one minute to the next. For better, or worse, I know that I need to explore this more and I just can’t wait.”
Second date
Angie has certainly explored her connection more with Timm, whisking him off on another single date shortly after!
The pair enjoyed a ~fancy~ date that was, unfortunately, quite awkward to begin with. Timm felt out of his depth on their swanky date, and took a while to relax.
“I think the reality of it is I really like Angie, and that scares the hell out of me,” he said.
But once he calmed down, the pair took a rose petal bath together where he felt he “could just be myself.”
“I think when feelings get to real for Timm he freaks out, but I don’t see Timm quitting,” Angie said. “That makes me so how much he cares. I definitely have feelings for Timm.”

Hometown visit
Timm’s hometown visit didn’t go to plan, with his best friend and brother telling Angie he was still very much a party boy. As Timm would say, it was a bit of a stitch up.
“Angie thought I was a bit of a loose cannon,” Timm tells TV WEEK. “I’ve spent a lot of time trying to convince her otherwise.
“I was so stressed about what they had said,” he recalls. “It was the worst possible timing.”
Ultimately she managed to look past what they told her and keep him around for another week. After all, how could you not forgive a guy who says “I’m deadest falling for you so hard.”
Overnight date
On Wednesday night’s episode, Angie and Timm shared one of their last date night’s together.
“I always knew there was chemistry and a connection with Angie, but I was still waiting for that feeling in my gut to scream at me and say yes, 100%, I do want to be with her,” Timm told the cameras. “And I got that at hometowns. When I saw Angie sitting with my family, it was just a game-changer.”
After a day of painting and joking around, the pair opened up about their feelings.
“How I look at you, is like a little bit inspired,” he said, revealing he can picture her as the mother of his children. “I can guarantee that 100% I will do anything it takes to make it work. I just, before we go I want you to know that I am falling for you.”
Final three
After revealing he was her “biggest gamble,” Angie also told Timm she was most drawn to him. In the dramatic final rose ceremony, she chose to keep him and Carlin for the finale.
