It was the constant “is she or isn’t she” and now we know… Kinda?
Romy, one third of the Bachelor Australia’s resident “tripod” has announced that she was a “paid actress” on the show.
Chatting to Kyle and Jackie O, she said, “I’m an actress and I was paid [to be] on the show.”
One listener phoned in and said to her, “I have a friend of a friend who has come out and said – now, they know your brother, Romy – and he has said that you’re a paid plant.”
The news may come as a surprise to Nick Cummins, who assumed the 30-year-old was a Photo Shoot Director.

Romy said on air, “I’m an actor. There’s all these rumours going around that I’ve been paid.”
“Well, look. I’m an actress and I was paid on the show, as was everyone else. My trade is acting, so you do the math.”
Jackie O dipped into her year 6 arithmetic, calculating, “When I do the math I think, ‘Yeah, you were a paid plant’.”
Clearing the air, Romy admitted she wasn’t a plant, so to speak, but it “turned into a role pretty quickly.”
“We are a cast, after all!”
