One of the most talked about relationships to come from the Bachelor-sphere is undoubtedly Megan Marx and Tiffany Scanlon’s post-show romance.
Even Ashton Kutcher was tweeting about the women finding love together after appearing as contestants on Richie Strahan’s season.
While Tiffany and Megan’s friendship blossomed post show, sadly the romance wouldn’t last.
Speaking on the latest episode of the So Dramatic! podcast with host Megan Pustetto, Megan spoke openly about their split for the first time.
“We’ve never really talked about it,” Megan began.
“When you first meet someone you show all of your best self to that person; on the outside we both liked adventure and were ‘yes’ people to new things.”
“Basically we ended up really not liking each other as human beings. It was just a disaster.”
Megan and Tiffany sparked countless rumours before confirming their romance.
(Instagram)The 32-year-old recounted the immense focus her relationship with Tiffany had drawn.
“There was all this pressure. The biggest thing was letting down the LGBTIQ community.”
Not long after the split Tiffany took to her blog and cited a similar cause for the breakdown of the relationship.
“We made the decision (mistake) at that point to share our relationship with the public,” Tiffany penned, adding: “This, I believe, would eventually cost us our relationship.”
Fans were heartbroken when the couple split.
(Instagram)Indeed, the WA-based beauty went on to say she couldn’t cope with the fame and being so recognisable to the public.
“I was tired of the scrutiny,” she added. “Tired of defending myself, tired of the negative attention and tired of pretending to be happy.”
Other than calling the split a “disaster” Megan hinted things didn’t end well, revealing “we haven’t been in contact since” and likely “never again” would be.
BIP romance: Megan went on to date Jake.
(Instagram)Megan later went on to find love with on-again-off-again boyfriend Jake Ellis after falling for one another on the first season of Bachelor In Paradise.
“When Megan arrived in paradise, there was an instant attraction,” Jake told TV WEEK of her entrance.
But the romance is once again, off, with Megan revealing she’s single and happy to keep it that way.
