Australian Idol is back and better than ever… Are you ready for it?
Judges Amy Shark and Kyle Sandilands have returned for another season, and they’re joined by the original judge, Marcia Hines.
The two hosts of the 2023 season, Ricki-Lee Coulter and Scott Tweedie, have also returned.
There were only 30 golden tickets up for grabs that were offered during auditions. and the winner will win a whopping $100K in prize money.
We’ve now reached an important moment in the 2024 season, with the top three being announced. In order to come to this decision, Isaac, Trent and Ivana were bumped from the competition.

Denvah Baker-Moller from Rockhampton, QLD
Denvah is quite the performer being she’s trained in dance, tap, ballet, jazz, contemporary and musical theatre.
During the audition, she’s not a prima ballerina, she’s a country singer.
She chose to sing ‘Pony‘ by Kasey Chambers explaining, “I love my yee-haw honky tonks.”
“It feels like old-school Dolly Parton… Never heard a voice like yours recently.” Kyle praised her before the judges gave her three yeses and a golden ticket.
Amy Reeves from Broome, WA
Amy fulfilled a childhood dream by singing for Marcia after her father worked with her during Hair the musical.
Her powerhouse vocals tackled Aretha Franklin’s ‘A Natural Woman‘ and by the end, all three judges were in awe.
Amy shared that singing makes her feel closer to her father.
“Sadly, he passed away when I was 15. I know he’s always with me. I can feel his presence when I am singing.”
Dylan Wright from Bangalow, NSW
Kyle Sandilands broke down after Dylan’s audition and Marcia explained it was one of the most heartfelt performances she’s ever seen.
Dylan sung ‘Better Be Home Soon‘ by Crowded House in honour of his mother, who passed away 10 years ago after a long battle with acute lymphoblastic Leukemia.
“Mum and I saw Crowded House a few years before she passed. It means a few different things, and I guess, one day I’ll be coming back home to her.” The NSW singer explained.
“How did I turn from the asshole into the guy who bursts into tears,” the radio host was known for his harsh critic last season.
“That was so beautiful. I don’t usually cry in the presence of other men, but what a sweetheart you are. I loved that.”
