Married At First Sight star Zoe Hendrix has shared a devastating update with fans just days after announcing her split from tv ‘husband’ Alex Garner.
Taking to Instagram stories, the 28-year-old uploaded a video of Harper-Rose — the 18-month-old daughter she shares with her former partner — before delving into her emotional state.
“Thanks for your messages of support. Breakups are like hell Breakups with a baby are next level hell,” she confessed. “I’m in a s**t place right now, but I know in time I will recover from this.”
She added: “For my daughter I have to.”
Zoe also shared an image of herself alongside her darling daughter, accompanied with an emotional — though uplifting — caption.
“And one day you will wake up and the world will feel different. As if you’ve awoken in a different planet, at a different point in time,” the post began.
“But you haven’t.”
“Your just now seeing the world through the prism of a broken heart. Where all your fears have come true. You trauma unearthed.”
“This new world. It feels so different. So lonely and cold. So grey and cruel.”
“But you know that the sun will (eventually) come out. You will rebuild. Brick by brick. Day by day. You will never give up. You will achieve your dreams. You will live in your truth.”
“Mama, you will be proud of what you do from this point onwards. Just you.”
Hinting that she was spending the night away from her beloved daughter, Zoe added: “Just you and your angel baby. 🌸 💫 goodnight Harps I miss you 💫”
WATCH: Zoe and Alex open up about their beautiful little girl. Post continues…
Earlier this week, the once-golden couple of reality television shared an emotional statement announcing their decision to separate after three years together.
“It is with sadness that Alex and I would like to state that we will be separating for now,” Zoe revealed on Instagram.
She said they were committed to co-parenting their daughter, before thanking friends and fans for their continued support.
“We are determined to ensure our beautiful daughter Harper-Rose continues to receive the unconditional love and nurturing she deserves from the both of us.”
“Thank you to our followers and friends who have supported us through the highs and lows over the years,” it concluded, alongside a heartbreak emoji.
Just one day later, Alex took to social media to break his silence over the sad split.
“Zoe and I both went into this experiment with open minds and really hoping to find a partner to share our lives with,” he wrote on Instagram, alongside a photo from their wedding day. “We are so fortunate and thankful that we were matched together and have shared many great experiences over the last four years.”
With Alex and Zoe biting the dust, now the only MAFS couple (apart from this year’s non-expertly matched partner-swapping pairs in Troy Delmege and Carly Bowyer, and Tracey Jewel and Sean Thomsen) that remain are Erin Bateman and Bryce Mohr from season two.
