After claims emerged that Married At First Sight star Troy Delmege is a virgin, we couldn’t not catch up with the man himself to find out if he really is on his V-plates.
And what better setting for a saucy chat than at a presidential hotel suite for our sexy, Fifty Shades-inspired photo shoot with his stunning wifey Ashley Irvin!
Talk about sizzle!
“How long have you booked this room for?” Troy, 35, asked as the shoot began, winking and hoping to finally seal the deal with Ash, 29, once we wrap up.
Which basically set us up for the very first question of our interview….
OK, so let’s cut to the chase. You’re not acting like much of a virgin today, Troy!
A: The massages and the clumsy kisses don’t help people thinking that you are…
T: I was maybe a little later in life when I did discover the birds and bees!
How late… last year?
T: I was 19 or 20 and went to college in America and came back a man.
Your chemistry is crazy today! Why haven’t you guys done the deed yet?
A: [Laughs] Well I went into the wedding with all my bridal lingerie for our first night together. You know, we’re both adults and in the long haul, why not put it all out there?
T: But I was exhausted then! And when I first saw Ash, even though I said I wanted a “Barbie”, she’s not the type of girl I’d usually go for and I struggled with attraction. She’s short.
As the couple then bantered and discussed what they love (and hate) about each other, the chat took a surprisingly emotional direction as Troy opened up about his difficult childhood.
“My school years were tough with bullying,” he confessed.
“There was a lot of name-calling and it was only towards Year 11 and Year 12 when I could see a light at the end of the tunnel.
“One of the girls from school [that bullied me] actually messaged me recently on Facebook and is watching the show.”
