We literally can’t keep up with the Married At First Sight partner swapping.
And in this week’s instalment, the latest shock couple to be linked are Davina Rankin’s husband Ryan Gallagher and Troy Delmege’s wife Ashley Irvin.
On Wednesday, fans were sent into a spin after photos surfaced of Ryan and Ash enjoying a shopping date in Queensland.
Now tradie Ryan is setting the record straight on their rumoured romance.
Speaking to the Canberra Times, Ryan explained they organised to hang out after he jetted to Queensland to help his dad with a building assignment near the blonde bride’s home.
“I rang her and said, ‘What are you doing?’ And she said, ‘Just playing tennis all day, I’m not working’. And I said, ‘I’ll play tennis, I’m coming,” he told the publication.
Ryan, who has had his fair share of drama this season thanks to Davina cheating on him with Dean Wells, insists he and Ashley are just good friends.
Addressing the cosy photos of them at the shops, he revealed: “On the way back, her parents wanted something from Woollies so we stopped in the shops and the video was taken. It looks like we’re bloody going back to our own apartment. But we’re definitely not together. Just friends.”
We must admit, if we wanted to go on a romantic date the Woolies’ carpark wouldn’t be our first choice.
As for his current relationship status, Ryan says he’s still on the market.
“I am definitely single. Not dating anyone. I know instantly when I meet someone that they are the one but that hasn’t happened in the last three years. I’m not waiting, but I’m not searching. You never find if you search. They always come along when you least expect it.”
And while he can’t confirm what happens between him and Davina until the show’s over, he did hint things don’t end well.
“Oh, you’ll have to watch that. I’m not allowed to say. I think out of the rumours, the only person I’m not dating is my wife. I’m dating the rest of Australia apparently when really I’m going to bed, lonely as buggery.”
