Just when you thought reality TV drama only played out between the shows’ contestants, My Kitchen Rules judge Pete Evans throws some heat at rival reality show Married At First Sight.
In an interview with The Daily Telegraph, the controversial Paleo chef took aim at Australia’s most popular show claiming he has never seen an episode of MAFS.
“I have no idea what it’s about except that people get married to someone they’ve never met,” he said.
“I personally wouldn’t watch a show like that,” he quipped, before adding: “It’s not my form of entertainment.”

Pete then went on to profess that his cooking program will be ‘relevant’ and on-air for the next 10 years.
Previously, Channel Seven’s My Kitchen Rules reigned as one of Australia’s biggest reality shows. However, ratings have been less than impressive this season, despite the show’s noticeable increase in onscreen drama between contestants.
Meanwhile, Married At First Sight has topped the ratings war and is one of the most-watched programs on Australian television, raking in over 1.5 million viewers. In fact, MAFS has beating the ratings of Channel Ten’s The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, making it the top dating series on television.
Casting for season six of MAFS has begun, however casting for the next season of MKR is yet to be announced.
