Heading into the Final Vows on Married At First Sight this week, it’s crunch time for Mike and Heidi.
Now, as he looks back on their time in the experiment, Mike thinks there’s one person responsible for his rocky relationship with Heidi – and that’s Jessika.
“Jessika had a toxic effect on the group,” the star, 43, tells TV WEEK.
“Her mere presence and commentary on everybody else’s relationship was anything but helpful.”

Last week, the couple were faced with their biggest challenge yet when Jess claimed Mike was going to leave Heidi at the Final Vows. Mike says it nearly broke them.
“We were already on shaky ground,” he says.
“We’d been through so much turmoil, we could hardly afford another scandal like this one. Having Jessika say I was planning to leave was really harmful to us.”
However, it wasn’t just Jess’ meddling that’s affected the couple.
“I wasn’t 100 per cent [sure] it was going to work,” Mike admits. “There were elements of our relationship that were, quite frankly, disappointing. I’m not sure Heidi accepted me for who I am.”
