Married At First Sight may have wrapped up back in April, but the plot thickened when Mel Lucarelli revealed that she had been dumped as a bridesmaid from Jules Robinson’s nuptials to Cam Merchant.
But in the wedding special that aired on A Current Affair on Tuesday night, Jules officially broke her silence on bridesmaid-gate.
Speaking to A Current Affair at her extravagant hens party on a boat sailing around Sydney Harbour, the bride-to-be was questioned about the drama with Mel.
“Do you know what, in response to that question, all that matters is my nearest and dearest are here right now,” she responded.
However, one key MAFS star wasn’t present at the hens party, but was able to join in via video chat.
“Heidi isn’t here, she’s my bridesmaid, love that woman,” Jules added.
Mel revealed she was no longer one of Jules’ bridesmaids in October.

The picture of a quote reads: “Your diet is not only what you eat. It’s what you watch, what you listen to, what you read, the people you hang around.
“Be mindful of the things you put into your body emotionally, spiritually and physically.”
And just to amp up the drama, the red-headed reality star captioned her post “#wisewords ❣️every action has a reaction , Let’s be mindful in all our choices we make. #life #diet #people #emotions #react #think #ww #goodvibetribe.”

Jules and Cam officially tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at the Beta Bar and Alpha Restaurant in Sydney in November.
The wedding that aired in a special event episode of A Current Affair was attended by their fellow MAFS stars Nic Jovanovic (who was also one of Cam’s groomsmen), Cyrell Paule and Heidi Latcham, the latter of whom was one of Jules’ bridesmaids.
And it seems that babies could well and truly be on the cards for the new Mr and Mrs Merchant. When Jules’ dad Peter commented “We’re expect grandchildren very shortly,” in his speech, Jules replied swiftly saying, “Me too!”
