She’s arguably one of the most controversial Married At First Sight contestants ever, but Davina Rankin has revealed how she feels about the backlash she’s copping after igniting an ‘affair’ with fellow contestant Dean Wells.
Last night, Davina appeared on A Current Affair to break her silence about the scandal and the public’s opinion of her (you can see the full video above).
“I’ve really put myself out there for the whole world,” the 26-year-old said. “Well, the whole of Australia, to really judge me and criticise me.”
She described the criticism as “scary” but “If anyone can deal with it, it’s going to be me.”
On Wednesday night, Davina and Dean snuck away from their partners Ryan Gallagher and Tracey Jewel to talk privately about how they wanted to “pursue” their feelings towards each other.
She told ACA about the experiment: “I know what I want, I know what qualities I need in a man and a partner.”
Davina said she’s “no stranger to dating”, before describing her perfect man.
“I’m crazy, I’m all over the place all the time, so I need someone that can kinda keep up with me. Almost more than anything I need someone maybe busier than me to motivate me. Someone with a great sense of humour and someone I’m inspired by.”
The drama seems to continue, judging by the promos for this Sunday night’s commitment ceremony.
“There is that fire in the belly with Davina that I haven’t had with Tracey,” Dean explains to the cameras.
“But after the dinner party, Tracey and I had fun, it was intense.”
The video cuts to Nasser Sultan saying angrily: “He’s played you and he’s played her.”
We can’t wait!
