Nic has chosen to give Cyrell one more chance and “stay” another week, but he’s still shaken by their tumultuous relationship.
“The outbursts are intense and something I’m not used to,” Nic tells TV WEEK of his wife’s meltdowns.
“It’s the opposite of how I deal with things. Things escalate so quickly. When things are good with us, they’re great. But when it’s bad, it’s horrendous. There’s no middle.”
Nic admires Cyrell’s “bubbly and funny” side and acknowledges the lessons she’s learning in the relationships experiment. But he’s unsure as to what’s next.
“It’s great she’s been having these breakthroughs, but I’m the punching bag to get there,” he says.
“I feel like I’m always trying to work around her in the relationship: ‘What triggers her? What doesn’t trigger her?’
“I’ve been sacrificing what I think to try to make her happy.”
Of course, Nic has hinted that those trademark outbursts could be the reason he chose not to tell her about Jessika’s flirtatious advances. Cyrell herself has alluded to this on Instagram.
Sharing a photo from their commitment ceremony, Cyrell captioned the picture “Thinking… Has Nic been completely honest with me?”
Her fiery brother, Ivan, commented on the picture, writing “of course he hasn’t been completely honest! Wtf hasn’t he told you about Jess.”
Cyrell, writing back to her older brother, hinted to her frustations over being branded ‘Cyclone Cyrell.’
“Welllllll…. some say it’s cause he was worried I’d go Cyclone Cyrell on him,” she wrote, adding that Nic had “plenty of private opportunities” to tell her the truth if he wanted to.
Yikes. Only time will tell how Cyrell and Nic’s relationship turns out, but at the moment things aren’t looking all too promising.
