When Married at First Sight’s Cyrell Jiminez-Paule stepped out with Love Island’s Eden Daly back in March, fans were quick to judge the odd pairing.
In fact, when the steamy pics surfaced of them making out at Sydney’s Milky Lane, naysayers were out in full force questioning the validity of their relationship – especially since he had been linked to MAFS Jessika Power weeks earlier.
But now, in an exclusive interview with Now to Love, Cyrell opens up about her relationship with the 26-year-old, and sets the record straight on all of those “showmance” rumours!
“You want to know the truth?” Cyrell asks during our phone call. “I’m sitting at Eden’s house right now. He’s upstairs and half the time I’m here – his neighbour’s even know my car now!”
Cyrell admits that the couple, who have been dating for three months now, are going really well – better than she thought they ever would.
“[There was a] rocky start I’ll admit but you always end up falling for the ones you least expect and you find happiness when you’re not even looking for it,” she admitted.
“When I met him at Jules’ [Robinson] birthday, I gotta tell you, I so did not like him,” Cyrell admits. “But we kept on hanging out after that and he sort of grew on me slowly and I’m like, he’s actually okaaay!”

You can tell Cyrell is really comfortable in her relationship, even saying how much the pair compliment each other.
“Honestly, we’re like ying and yang,” she says. “He cracks me up and that’s a big thing for me, I love guys that make me laugh.”
Even though things are pretty peachy right now, the relationship has had its moments – especially when it comes to the “peanut gallery” of fans and their opinion on the matter.
“I’ve seen it [the comments],” she reveals. “I read the comments but I know what I’ve got with him.”
“If I had to sit here and worry about what everyone else said, then I’d never be happy in life. At the end of the day, I know the truth, I met his whole family – it is what it is, it kind of hurts in that regard.
“Like, OMG, ‘Cyrell is so in love with him, and he’s not with her’, OMG really, RELAX! I’m like, you don’t pay my bills, you don’t provide a roof over my head. You also don’t satisfy my hoo-ha… so it doesn’t matter to me.” And this is why we love her!

Story continues…
If you want anymore proof that they are the real deal, Eden has already met Cyrell’s older brother, Ivan.
And you know what, Ivan approves!
“He really, really gets along with him,” Cyrell says of her over-protective brother. “So my next step is seeing how the rest of the family get along with him.”
“He hasn’t met my mum yet. He speaks and says hello,” she confesses. “But that is more me. I was really hesitant. Obviously what I just went through with the show – I know it wasn’t a real wedding. I don’t want to be that girl and be like, ‘hey, here’s this guy now’.
“Finally we’ve been talking about it and he’s going to do the whole big Filipino family thing. He hasn’t let a lot of my family and my mum has been very curious.”
As for Eden’s family, his sister was the last to meet her.
“It’s being going almost three months! I’ve pretty much met his family and the last one I had to meet was his sister Ashley and that was very recent. So we’re getting to those stages.”
Cyrell’s life certainly has changed since walking down the aisle to meet stranger Nic Jovanovic – including leaving her day job behind because she “couldn’t balance” it all.
“I was really disappointed, I’d been at my job for a long time and it was not an easy decision to make,” she says.
“I’ve had to quit my job and it’s only very recent. I had to quit a few weeks ago. You only get opportunities like this once in a lifetime – I kind of felt like Eminem just then,” she jokes. “honestly, I’m just going with the ride. After a while I will go back to my day job and find something better.”
Earlier this week, Cyrell was announced as an ambassador for the Matilda’s upcoming 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup campaign with Hyundai.
“How good is it?” she laughs. “When Hyundai contacted me and said what I was doing for the Matilda’s, I was like ‘legit’!
“It’s so exciting. I am so happy to be supporting this. As you know, I’ve always been an opinionated and empowering woman, my main role is to team up with Hyundai and the Matilda’s to encourage and show them support with the messaging.”
Cyrell is currently enlisting fans to write messages of support on a yellow Hyundai, which will then be flown to France to follow the women on their journey.
