Despite a disagreement this week over some stray dating apps on Telv’s phone, Married at First Sight lovebirds Sarah Roza and Telv Williams are #couplegoals.
When OK! caught up with the loved-up pair in a Sydney park, they could barely keep their hands off each other!
Talk about chemistry, guys! Why do you think you both hit it off straight away?
Sarah: He loves me for me. He loves me when I’m made up and when I’m make-up-free. I know that even if I was in the backyard picking up my dog Frankie’s poo, he would still think I’m a sexy woman and that is very empowering.
Telv: Obviously the physical attraction was there – from the moment I saw her at the altar, I was like, “Wow.” She’s extremely gorgeous! But then we just clicked, too. We were just bouncing off one another. She’s talking, I’m talking. She’s got a great sense of humour, too, but she’s serious when she needs to be. She’s the whole package.
Did you two get physical as soon as you realised there was a connection there?
Telv: She made me wait, which was fine by me. I came into this experiment and this marriage with no expectations. It wasn’t just, “Let’s have sex on our first date or the wedding night just because.” She’s invested in making this a real relationship, so I was happy to follow her lead and take my time. Obviously, I would’ve been ready to go whenever, but it’s a two-way street when it comes to sex, so I was patient.
Sarah: There’s a difference between having sex and making love, and I wanted to make sure that I would be making love with my husband, not just having sex, so we took our time. He was patient!
You’ve made no secret of the fact that you want kids, Sarah. Do you think Telv could be your baby daddy?
Sarah: Yes. We’re a really strong team already. He would be a hugely incredible dad. It would be the most amazing experience to see Telv as a dad again.
Telv, you’re a father of two, so would you consider having more children with Sarah?
Telv: You can tell if someone would make a good mother and I think Sarah will be a fantastic mum. She’s got this beautiful nature that shows she’d definitely make a great mum. I’m totally open to having more kids. I’ve got two already [Miah, three, and TJ, two, from a previous relationship] and they’re the best thing in the world. But I come from a huge family – I’m one of eight – so I’d love to have more kids.
Sarah, certainly seems to keep you on your toes!
Telv: Absolutely. I never used to believe that saying “happy wife, happy life”, but it’s true.
Sarah: So long as he doesn’t leave his jocks lying around or leave the toilet seat up, we’ll be fine. I’ve trained him now. We really are like an old married couple already!
