Channel Nine are blessing Married At First Sight fans with two special events this year. Yes, before the 2021 season kicks off we’re being treated to a grand reunion special that is sure to bring the drama in spades.
Posting to the official MAFS social media pages, Channel Nine shared the first look at the explosive TV special that features some of the franchises biggest characters.
“Our most memorable brides and grooms are back, and there’s unfinished business…” the trailer was cryptically captioned.
But now we finally know when we’ll have to plonk ourselves down on the couch and watch – mark your diaries for Sunday January 31st.

Fans couldn’t contain their excitement on social media.
“Omg omg omg omg I can not wait!” one exclaimed.
“This is gonna be a train wreck, but I won’t be able to resist lol!” laughed another.
However one fan wasn’t as excited and remarked: “This is just going to be the Cyrell show isn’t it.”
In the trailer, returning bride Cyrell Paule who infamously tipped red wine during her last dinner party proudly states: “The b**** is back!”
But of course she’s just the tip of the iceberg – season five stars Dean Wells, Tracey Jewel, Sarah Roza, Ryan Gallagher. Troy Delmege, Nasser Sultan and Jo McPharlin aka Foxy Jojo are also returning for the special as are season six brides and grooms Mike Gunner, Ines Basic, Jessika Power and remaining couple Martha Kalifatidis and Michael Brunelli.
Lizzie Sobinoff and Seb Guilhaus are the only season seven stars (that we know of) who will be in attendance at the reunion but despite being all loved-up at the reunion, the couple have since split.
Speaking to The Wash, season five star Foxy Jojo said that she was “absolutely devastated” to hear of their break up.
“I even said to them, ‘I look at their relationship as the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow,'” she told the publication.
The TV special is rumoured to feature a clash between season six brides Cyrell and Jessika as well as a walkout from season five groom Nasser.
But the drama should be worth it as the contestants are being paid a decent sum for their appearances.
“Michael and Martha reportedly got the most, about $15K between them, which is huge,” Megan Pustetto revealed on her So Dramatic! podcast.
What’s more, host Megan divulged that Ines Basic was reportedly paid $10K with Mike Gunner also receiving a similar amount, Dean Wells reportedly received $8K while the rest of the contestants were paid “around $3K”.
