Abbie Chatfield is loved for her sex-positive attitude and staunch feminism, so it was no surprise she had a lot to say about Married At First Sight‘s OnlyFans scandal.
During Wednesday night’s dinner party, Domenica Calarco was confronted by the group for having a nude photo on her OnlyFans account.
Domenica’s on-screen arch nemesis Olivia Frazer has copped fierce backlash from viewers for “googling” Domenica before spreading the photo among the rest of their castmates.
During Abbie’s Hot Nights With Abbie radio show on Thursday night, the former Bachelor star defended Domenica and her choice to have an OnlyFans account.
“There is nothing wrong with taking nudes for free, there is nothing wrong with being sexual in anyway you want to be sexual, whether it is as an occupation or whether it is to just send a nude around like I do all the time,” she said.
Abbie then called Olivia “manipulative” for trying to argue that she wasn’t judging Domenica over her nude photos.
“Olivia is saying, ‘There’s no shame in it.’ What you’ve done, you’ve googled her – and you said it was your friend. You lied. You googled her,” Abbie said.
“How come you didn’t send a photo of Domenica, I don’t know, working at a juice bar? Did you find her LinkedIn and go, ‘Oh look, she was a personal assistant.’ No, because you don’t see shame in that.
“You see shame in OnlyFans, and you see shame in naked bodies, and you are choosing this very manipulative and very disgusting way to try and subtly shame her because you think – and unfortunately, you were right – the whole group would turn against her after seeing this.
“And unfortunately, the pathetic, spineless people at this table all don’t like Domenica and want her to be a villain.”
Abbie then took aim at with Tamara Djordjevic for telling Domenica that she has to “cop” the fallout from having an OnlyFans account.
“Tamara. Who are you, first of all? Bit mean. She’s sitting there going, ‘Babe, you just need to cop it. If I had an OnlyFans I knew it would get out,'” Abbie said.
“All of these women think they’re being feminists, and think that saying, ‘We’re not shaming you!’ absolves them because they know that their internalised misogynistic ridiculousness is in fact anti-feminist, and they are shaming her.”
She also called out groom Cody Bromley for bringing it up in the first place after he boldly asked Domenica: “Does your husband [Jack Millar] know you have an OnlyFans?”
Abbie said of Cody: “Why is this random man asking if her husband knew she had an OnlyFans account? Your husband is not your keeper. Never ask, ‘Does your husband know about this?’ Why does he need to know? Who cares!”
Following the explosive episode airing, Olivia doubled down on her actions and said she “didn’t see what was wrong” with sending the nude photo.
“It was like a big point of contention that I didn’t see what was wrong with finding a photo on the internet. Like I didn’t see that because I was like, like you heard me say it’s public so many times,” Olivia told Nova’s Fitzy & Wippa on Thursday morning.
