After her “affair” with co-star Dean Wells resulted in Married At First Sight‘s biggest ever scandal (and ratings!), NW can reveal that TV villain Davina Rankin will soon be flying to Spain for some fun in the sun on Love Island.

And by “fun”, we obviously mean a whole load of drama.

“Channel Nine bosses know Davina is a ratings winner and have pulled out all the stops to get her on Love Island,” a TV insider tells NW.

“I’m no stranger to doing crazy things!”

“Davina has all but signed on the dotted line at this point, but her bags are basically packed. Producers are aware that she’s a controversial choice, but viewers love to hate her – and they know she’ll make the show a success.”

The dating show, presented by Sophie Monk, premieres mid-May and follows the X-rated UK format where a load of sexy singletons shack up in a villa for some sun, sex and… even more sex.

“I’m no stranger to doing crazy things,” Davina, 27, told NW while hinting at her TV return.

“Dating is just something I don’t do well – I just can’t settle. I’m too picky and I find I do attract the wrong kind of man. It is tough out there.”

Thankfully for Dav, the format of this show allows the Islanders to pick their own love interests, swap partners and date their way through the group before settling with one person.

The cameras in the bedroom that capture everything shouldn’t be a problem for the former glamour model either.

“I feel like anything you haven’t seen on my Instagram is not too hard to imagine.”

Meanwhile, Bachelor in Paradise star Keira Maguire, who is close friends with the brunette, recently revealed it was she who pushed Davvy towards saying yes to the new series.

“I told her, ‘I don’t think MAFS was the right show for you,'” Keira says. “She’s not at the stage in life where she wants to get married. I said, ‘You should go on Love Island.'”

After previously attempting to find love on First Dates in 2016 and Married At First Sight earlier this year – following a brief stop in the Big Brother house in 2012 – could Love Island be the show on which Davina finally comes out on top?

Time will tell…
