Channel 10 confirmed the wildlife protégé will be entering the jungle this morning, October 24.

“It’s a huge honour to be the new co-host of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!. I can’t wait to plunge back into the incredible African jungle and introduce our celebrities to the magnificent wildlife that call the jungle home,” Robert said of his new gig.

“Most of all, I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to work alongside the incredibly kind and talented Julia Morris. Crikey! This is going to be a wild ride!”

While Robert hasn’t had much hosting experience, aside from his short stint taking over weatherman duties for Sunrise’s Sam Mac, there is no denying he has the perfect TV personality.

This will be Robert’s first TV hosting gig.

Plus, between his khaki uniform and love for all things wild, Robert will blend seamlessly into the jungle.

Meanwhile, Julia revealed she is “absolutely overjoyed” to be working alongside Rob despite being an “unlikely duo.”

“Can not believe my luck getting to stand next to this absolute superstar. Robert & I are a ground breaking, prime time, 55yr old Woman/19 year old Man combo. There is pure magic on the menu in the jungle!!” she wrote on Instagram.

Channel 10 has revealed I’m A Celebrity will return to screens from March 24, 2024.

It seems Rob passed the “chemistry testing” after Julia Morris revealed in June 2023 that six celebrities were being eyed off for the hosting role.

“I’m excited for the new adventure of what is in store, I don’t know who that’s going to be yet,” she told Yahoo Lifestyle at the TV WEEK Logie Awards nomination breakfast.

“We start chemistry testing pretty soon with a number of different people – not even a number of different people, I think there’s kind of a party of six. And from there we’ll just work out where that best chemistry is and start a new adventure.”

While this is an exciting new chapter for Julia and Robert on I’m A Celebrity, the dynamic will be “completely different” given she and Chris worked together for nine years.

Meanwhile, Chris is in demand over at Channel Seven after it has been announced he will host three television series, including Dancing With The Stars, Dream Home and new series Once In A Lifetime.
