As another year comes to an end, it’s always a good time to look to the year ahead.
And here at Now to Love, we’re counting down the seconds until 2019.
With a new year, comes a whole new serving of amazing reality TV and we can already see the outline of our bodies moulding into our favourite corner of the couch.
Who needs a life when it’s reality TV season, amiright?
From an explosive new season of Married At First Sight, to yet another juicy incarnation of Bachelor In Paradise.
But there’s also our favourite double act, Dr Chris Brown and Julia Morris, who are returning for the fifth season of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in the depths of the South African jungle.
With I’m A Celeb set to return in January, speculation is already rife as to which brave celebs will be dropped into camp for our entertainment.
And we hear that the producers are planning on packing the jungle full of our fave reality stars!
“We feel the best years of the show are still to come,” Dr Chris Brown explained to TV WEEK.
Adding: “We have a ball over there – it’s like our own little private jungle tree house that some how we are licensed to perform in.”
Meanwhile sources tell Woman’s Day budget cuts mean a shorter show format this time around and it’s believed it will only run for four weeks compared to the usual eight. With less dollars to play with we expect loads more local names as opposed to overseas imports.
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! first aired in Australia in February 2015, and sees various celebrities compete in challenges for their chance to win $100,000 to be donated to their chosen charity.
Previous winners of the reality series are Freddie Flintoff, Brendan Fevola, Casey Donovan and Fiona O’Loughlin.
As we countdown to the upcoming season, here are the potential names being thrown around so far…
Grant Crapp, Love Island
With a surname like Crapp, dear old Grant was always going to have a rough time winning over the Aussie public.
After winning the first-ever season of Love Island with his girlfriend from the show, Tayla Damir, things soon came crashing down after the couple announced their break-up just two weeks after the grand finale.
Opening up about her decision to sensationally dump Grant, Tayla explained he was simply “too young” for her and trust issues ultimately got the better of them.
It soon came out that while Grant was on the show wooing Tayla, he actually had a secret live-in girlfriend on the outside world the whole time.
But it didn’t take long for Tayla to get over the deceit with the stunning model now dating fellow Love Island co-star Dom Thomas.
So if anyone needs a reputation reboot it’s Grant and I’m A Celeb would be the perfect platform for the tradie to show “the real him.”
Meanwhile, a source recently told NW that the 22-year-old is as “keen as mustard” to to the series.
“It was pretty much a done deal as soon as he got the call.”
Holy crap(p), we can’t wait to see Grant don the jungle khakis!
Tayla Damir, Love Island
There’s nothing worse than bumping into your ex so imagine having to live with them in a grubby camp site!
Rumour has it Grant’s ex Talya Damir has also been approached by producers to take part.
However it’s believed Tayla is keen to take time out of the reality TV realm to live a quieter life with her new man Dom.
It wouldn’t be the first time producers have rounded up mortal enemies and put them in the jungle together.
Who could forget this year’s showdown when boxing rivals Danny Green and Anthony Mundine were forced to share a confined space together?
Tara Pavlovic, Bachelor and Bachelor In Paradise
We fell in love with her as the unfiltered and down-to-earth nanny on Matty J’s season of The Bachelor in 2017.
In June, it looked like Tara had landed her happily ever after when Sam Cochrane popped the question during the Bachelor In Paradise finale.
But the couple soon fell victim to the reality TV curse and suffered a very messy split with worrying allegations flying from both sides.
Sam’s bombshell exclusive interview with Woman’s Day detailing the alleged verbal and physical abuse he suffered at the hands of former fiancee Tara Pavlovic sent shock-waves around the nation.
However Tara was quick to share her side of the story, claiming Sam was a toxic narcissist who constantly put her down.
Like we said, very messy.
Whatever the truth behind their bitter break-up is, there’s no denying Tara is a pro in front of the camera and a natural-born entertainer. Maybe a return to the small screen would help her overhaul her image?
Nasser Sultan, Married At First Sight
Love him or hate him, Nasser Sultan doesn’t give a hoot what we think and lives for the limelight.
According to Woman’s Day, the MAFS groom, 50, has been approached and is seriously considering it.
We’ve got to admit it, it would be pretty hilarious watching the self-confessed pampered prince of Sydney’s eastern suburbs trying to survive in the jungle.
When asked by the Daily Mail if he’d consider it, he replied: “I’m not sure how I’d deal with the bugs but I’m open to offers if the producers are reading haha!”

Rhonda Suzanne Burchmore, Entertainer
Showbiz royalty Rhonda Burchmore, 58, has also hinted she’s set to appear, confirming to Woman’s Day she’s been approached twice.
The 58-year-old Aussie singer, dancer and actress rose to fame in the 1982 film The Pirate Movie before enjoying a successful career as a singer and musical superstar.
Nick Cummins, The Bachelor Australia
Over the years, I’m A Celeb has been known to revive even the most fallen of star’s reputations.
Think Shane Warne, Steve Price, Casey Donovan and Fiona O’Loughlin.
So it would make complete sense if controversial Bachelor boy Nick Cummins signed up for the show.
Word on the street is that the former Wallaby player is flirting with the idea after the intense backlash following his decision not to pick either Sophie Tieman or Brittany Hockley on this year’s Bachelor.
“Nick is still under contract with the network and is keen to win back the public’s approval so it’s the perfect opportunity,” an insider revealed to a local publication.
Adding: “The network bosses see him as a Shane Warne-style character who will – hopefully – redeem himself in the public eye during his time [on the show].”
Plus, Nick lives for the great outdoors and says one of his favourite pastimes is to camp out under the stars in the middle of nowhere so he’d be a total shoe-in when it comes to jungle life.
Roxy Jacenko, PR queen
She was rumoured to be heading into the jungle with husband Oliver Curtis but the surprise intruder couple in question ended up being former One Nation politician David Oldfield and his wife, Real Housewives of Sydney star Lisa Oldfield.
Could 2019 finally be the year Roxy swaps her designer threads for cargo pants?
When Woman’s Day asked the Celebrity Apprentice runner-up if she’d ever return to reality TV, she hinted it wasn’t out of the realms of possibility.
“Watch this space,” the mother-of-two mused.
