Farmer Wants A Wife star Hayley Love is celebrating a major milestone as she hits the 28th week of pregnancy with her first child.
Fans will recall Hayley first appeared as a contestant in Farmer Matt Trewin’s group, though she was sent home before the finale, later striking up a romance with Farmer Will Dwyer after the show had filmed in December.
The contestant found out she was pregnant in April, after deciding to end her relationship with Will.
“On the 2nd April I left his house thinking, ‘I’m never coming back, I’m done.’ The next morning, I found out I was 6 weeks pregnant. I was terrified to tell him,” she said in a statement of the surprising reveal.
Despite the behind-the-scenes drama, Hayley is focusing on the positives as she hits her latest pregnancy milestone.
Taking to Instagram on Sunday, the 25-year-old shared a snap of her growing baby bump as she inches closer to her due date.
“28 weeks – going to have to get used to no makeup and dirty hair,” she wrote in the caption of the photo, adding the hashtag “single mum”.
With the post being shared on Father’s Day, co-star Tara Hurl took to the comments to wish Hayley a “happy first Father’s Day” adding: “you’re gonna be the best.”
Hayley responded simply with a laughing emoji.
Fellow FWAW alum Liz Jelley commented: “I’m calling it! It’s a boy.”
“Oh god,” responded Hayley. “I’ve been through 1000 boy names and nothing… any suggestions?”
Liz replied “all I have is a list of names of boys who have disappointed me,” to which Hayley responded, “I agree!”
Though she wasn’t ‘The One’ for him on the show, Hayley has also had the support of her “close friend” Farmer Matt through her pregnancy.
“We speak everyday on the phone but I’ve got a little bubba on the way and all my focus is on being the best mother I can be,” she said recently, swiftly denying rumours they’ve rekindled their romance.
“Matt has known since I was 12 weeks pregnant and has been super supportive,” she said. “I do hope Matt finds the right gal though.”
Meanwhile father-to-be Will has kept relatively quiet on the pregnancy, sharing just one statement about the news on his Instagram page.
“My family are my world, and my parents were the perfect role models. When the time comes, I will be the best Dad I can be,” Farmer Will wrote, while sharing a photo of himself and his dad.
“If this is in fact my child, I’ll be there whenever the child needs me. Even if as parents we can’t be a couple, our family will be filled with love for our child.”
The statement didn’t go down well with some of his co-stars, with contestant Nickia Cerneka sharing the post on her Instagram story.
“When the time comes? The time came 6 months ago buddy when Hayley fell pregnant,” she wrote over a photo of his statement.
