Farmer Wants A Wife 2022 has only been on our screens for three weeks but we’re already getting towards the pointy end.
Host Natalie Gruzlewski returned this year to play cupid to five new hopeless romantic farmers, plucked from paddocks around the country.
With first date nerves in overdrive, Farmer Will, 26, Farmer Benjamin, 33, Farmer Harry, 23, Farmer Ben, 27, and Farmer Paige, 27, gathered in the picturesque Hunter Valley to meet a bevvy of eligible singles hoping to meet the one.
After much awkward laughter and stolen glances, Will, Harry and Ben invited five ladies each back to their beloved farms. One special lady was given an enviable head start with a 24-hour date with her chosen farmer.
Following speed dates, Benjamin invited his top five to his farm in Guyra, while Paige decided to only invite four suitors and things moved very quickly from there!
Now romance is starting to blossom in the country as the farmers try to woo the dates on their beloved farms, but will it turn into true love? Not for these eliminated suitors.
Find out below which hopefuls have been sent home so far.
FARMER HARRY
Georgia Georgia was sent home in episode one.
Gabby will also not be joining Harry back on the farm.
Natalie was also sent home on night one after she failed to click with Harry.
Alex was devastated after not making it to the farm visits – especially after Gabrielle (who did get through) revealed that she wasn’t quite feeling a connection with Harry yet.
Elise was sent home in the third episode after failing to make a connection with Harry.
23-year-old student pilot Gabrielle realised she might not be suited for the farm lifestyle, but would move anywhere for the right person. Harry ultimately sent her home in the second week.
Harry farewelled 22-year-old ski lift operator Isabella in the third week of the show as he “didn’t see that future with her”.
FARMER BEN
Unfortunately, Emily wasn’t chosen to visit Ben’s Wingham farm and was sent home on the premiere episode.
Ashlea was also sent home in the debut episode.
Farmer Ben also had to send Janika home at the end of his speed dates.
It was clearly a hard decision for the young dad to cull so many women after such a short time! Unfortunately, Ash also wasn’t chosen.
Renee was sent home on the third episode after being friend-zoned by Ben. “With Renee, I’m definitely weighing up whether there is a connection there more than just friendship,” Ben said.
32-year-old salon owner Lisa was missing her daughter, and let Ben know she had decided to leave. “There’s obviously other girls here that are amazing and he can form other connections with other girls and that’s just how the story goes”, she said.
A single father himself, Ben confessed he understood “how much she sacrificed to be here”, and wished her goodbye.
24-year-old vet nurse Lauren decided to leave in the third week, telling Farmer Ben: “We both need different things from a partner and I don’t feel like this is gonna work.”
FARMER WILL
Whilst Will only had to send three girls home on the first night – It was clear the decision was hard! Katelyn was one of the unlucky girls sent home.
Zoe was another one of Will’s love interests who didn’t make it through the first night!
Ariel was the third contestant sent home by Will in Sunday night’s episode.
Sahara was sent packing after spending the day on Will’s farm.
The County Ball was too much for Keeley, who decided to leave the competition following a tumble on the dancefloor.
“I’m just embarrassed” she explained to Will. “I just think, with the whole fall, it’s my whole body going, ‘Chill out. You’re doing too much. You’re putting too much effort into this. You need to step back,'” she shared.
Before the farewell dinner, Alicia told Madi and Jess about her desire to leave the farm. Sensing tension in the air, Will took Alicia outside for a chat, where she told him all was well and she wanted to stay.
After the pair confronted Alicia and the truth was revealed, a shocked Will felt betrayed by this blindside and reneged on his earlier decision. “It’s so disappointing. Honesty underpins the relationship for me. If you don’t have that, you don’t have anything”, he said after sending Alicia packing.
FARMER BENJAMIN
Hayley was sent home on Monday night alongside four other hopeful contestants.
Sophie was also eliminated before the farm visits.
Unfortunately it just wasn’t meant to be for Molly and Benjamin.
Astrology-obsessed Brittani also struggled to make a connection with 33-year-old Farmer Benjamin.
Diana also missed out on a chance to visit Benjamin’s Guyra farm.
Courtney was sent home on episode three after spending the day with Farmer Benjamin and fellow contestant Jen.
Jen was sent home by Benjamin in the second week of farm stays.
FARMER PAIGE
Sydney-based Spiros started off on rocky footing after sharing that he didn’t want kids.
Chris also won’t be joining Paige on a visit to her farm in Cassilis, NSW.
Paige, 27, also sent home Ged on Monday night’s episode.
Josh was the fourth hopeful contestant to be eliminated by Paige after the speed dates.
Marty self-eliminated after getting sick in the third episode.
30-year-old electrician James farewelled Paige in the second week. “It’s hard because I genuinely like Paige. She’s unreal. I just don’t see my future on a farm”, he admitted.
