Big Brother has returned with a bang in 2022, reuniting BB royalty from seasons gone by and introducing a whole new host of personalities in a Fans v Faves season.
With iconic players like Tully Smyth, Anthony Drew and Reggie Bird back in the mix, this season is promising to be a big one.
But if there’s one thing that the BB alumni know all too well, it’s that no one is safe when it comes to evictions.
Plenty of the returning housemates have been evicted from the house before on their own seasons, and we have a feeling plenty of the new cast will be booted before they know it this year.
With so many people in the mix and big personalities that are guaranteed to clash, we can also expect heaps of strategic eliminations – especially as numbers dwindle in the Big Brother house.
So, who has been kicked out so far? Keep scrolling to find out.
You can watch the Big Brother Grand Final at 7.30pm Tuesday 12th July on Channel Seven.
BIG BROTHER 2022 – Brenton
Brenton
After challenge beast Taras won the power to choose which housemates would join him in the live finale, the newbie decided to save OG Reggie and super-fan Johnson, ending Brenton’s Big Brother journey.
“It sucks. I got so freaking close to the end,” Brenton admitted after being evicted.
“I just can’t believe that if I’d won that challenge today, which I was millisecond off, I would be standing in the top three. I cannot believe it came down to that.”
BIG BROTHER 2022 – Aleisha
Aleisha
She started the show being nominated first but despite making it to the top five, Aleisha was sent packing on Sunday night.
“Being a strong woman was something I wanted to show not only myself, but other young people throughout this experience,” she remarked, before calling the Big Brother experience “the best time of my life”.
“All I can say is, if you are even questioning about applying for BB23, do it. You won’t regret it. This isn’t the last time you’ll see Aleisha Campbell. I can promise you that.”
BIG BROTHER 2022 – Tim
Tim
As newbie Taras won his record-breaking eighth challenge, his ploy to take down Big Brother royalty Tim worked as he placed the former winner up for eviction along with Brenton and Johnson.
“Wow what a ride!” Tim said following his elimination. “I’m so proud of my game & the fun TV I made! Hope you enjoyed watching it as much as I did being back on your screens!”
BIG BROTHER 2022 – Estelle
Estelle
After being saved from a double elimination with fellow royalty Reggie Bird and given a second chance by Big Brother himself, Estelle failed to beat newbie Taras and was voted out by her fellow housemates.
Reflecting on her journey on Instagram, Estelle wrote: “Hard to go out the way I did but at least it was with an open heart.
“I tried my best to play with kindness and with strength and compassion.”
BIG BROTHER 2022 – Gabbie
Gabbie
After Estelle won the second chance challenge, the eviction was down to Gabbie and intruder Brenton.
In the end, the OG ally failed to get the numbers and was sent packing right before the finish line.
Reflecting on her experience on Instagram, Gabbie wrote: “Looks like my time is finally up. I can’t tell you guys how grateful I am to have been able to share me and my BB journey with you guys. I went into the house wanting to play the game but in my own way. I didn’t want to follow any rules, or be defined by being a “Newbie”.
“I wanted to be genuine, authentic and true to myself. I wanted to make my friends, my family and myself proud. I have been asked many times if I regret anything my answer is ABSOLUTELY NOT!! Big Brother thank you for having me! Love you all! X”
BIG BROTHER 2022 – Jaycee
Jaycee
During High Stakes week, nominations challenge winners Tim and Gabbie avenged Drew’s eviction by placing newbies Jaycee, Johnson and Aleisha on the chopping block.
In what was a landslide vote, Jaycee said his final goodbyes to the house.
“That’s the game baby 🤝,” he wrote on Instagram. “Thank you for 50 days in the @bigbrotherau house.”
BIG BROTHER 2022 – Drew
Drew
After intruder Brenton won the second chance challenge, it was down to new housemate Taras and Big Brother royalty Drew as to who would be sent packing from the competition.
While the OGs wanted Taras gone, Aleisha plotted a sneaky blindside against Drew which ended in a tied vote.
The final decision was ultimately down to Head of House Jaycee who sealed Drew’s fate and ended his Big Brother journey for good.
“It took a few tries but they finally got rid of me,” the reality star wrote on Instagram. “Not before taking a few out first. This time I promise, I won’t be back. #DoLess #dirtywork #thankyou.”
BIG BROTHER 2022 – Tully
Tully
Tully’s plans to make it to the top 10 housemates were dashed after new housemate Taras placed herself, Drew and Johnson on the chopping block.
Despite her emotional pleas to her fellow housemates, notably her ex-partner Drew, to keep her in the competition, the OG was sent packing.
“I want to say the biggest THANKYOU so much for all the support,” Tully wrote on Twitter after her eviction aired.
“The love and support has been such a welcomed, lovely surprise. I’ve felt so understood + SEEN. For the first time.
“I am incredibly proud of how I played the game. With empathy, integrity + grace. I hope I did you proud this time mumma.”
BIG BROTHER 2022 – Jules
Jules
Intruder Jules was asserting her place in the Big Brother house until it all came crashing down. After OG housemate Estelle won the second chance challenge, Jules and Drew were left on the chopping block.
When Tim and Brenton were given the power to choose who was sent packing, they placed their votes on Jules, and her Big Brother journey was cut short.
BIG BROTHER 2022 – Dave
Dave
While he initially flew under the radar, intruder Brenton made his presence known in the Big Brother house after nominating three OGs following his challenge win: Reggie, Dave, and Estelle.
In what was an emotional elimination, Farmer Dave ended up with the most votes and was forced to say goodbye to his fellow housemates, including his best bud Reggie.
“It was the greatest honour to sit in those three seats with two people that I adore, love and respect. I love being an OG, there is something about it that makes you so proud yet so connected and such a big part of history in Australia,” Dave said during his exit.
BIG BROTHER 2022 – Sam
Sam
The romance with Drew is over but Sam says she’s glad he’s still in the game.
“I feel happy that Drew’s in there because honestly the thought of him leaving and me staying was getting the better of me,” Sam said after her eviction.
“I’ll miss him, but I hope that he does what I was going to do: take down the ultimate player of the game, Tim.”
BIG BROTHER 2022 – Lulu
Lulu
After OG Farmer Dave conquered his fear to win the second chance challenge, Sam and Lulu faced off in the eviction.
While Tim was adamant on getting Sam booted from the house, the intimacy coach made a second escape as Lulu became the seventh housemate to get evicted.
“I have mixed emotions. I feel like I was definitely blindsided tonight,” Lulu said upon her exit.
“Sam, you said some really, really strong words tonight to Tim and I know for sure he’s not going to forget, so you better watch your back girl.”
BIG BROTHER 2022 – Trevor
Trevor
In what was his first ever nomination, Trevor was blindsided when farmer Dave put him up for elimination believing he was a safe vote.
Dave’s plan backfired as the OG was sent home, much to the farmer’s horror.
“The guy I respect the most in the house is now gone because of what I’ve done,” Dave said on the show.
Trevor conceded as he left: “I didn’t see that coming and I don’t think anybody else did. It was a very emotional time.”
BIG BROTHER 2022 – Joel
Joel
The ‘J-Crew’ were torn apart when Estelle’s clever voting strategy to protect the Big Brother OGs sent Joel packing right after his first kiss with Aleisha.
“I was definitely not surprised that I was evicted tonight,” Joel admitted to Seven. “I knew that if I didn’t win this challenge that I’d be up and ultimately evicted.”
Lara
Another newbie bites the dust! Lara was sent packing after managing to save Lulu, but Lara says they “made a bit of a mistake” sending her home.
She told Seven: “I proved that women in their 50s can do all that sort of stuff. I love that I got voted out for being a fierce competitor. I think that is victory for me.”
Layla
We all thought Layla would be around for a lo longer, but the BB royalty became the third housemate to get the boot.
Layla saw it coming, though, telling Instagram: “As soon as I went in it was like I knew that I was going to be out early.”
Mel
When the eviction came down to her and Big Brother royalty Drew, it was pretty obvious Mel’s time in the house had come to an end.
After her eviction she wrote on Instagram: “Unforgettable experience, Great friendships made, I can now tick off that I’ve stepped out of comfort zone and done reality tv.”
Josh
This divisve newcomer was sent packing in episode two after his antics earned him a little animosity from the other housemates. The eviction came to a tie between him and Sam, but when Joel was given the power to choose who stayed he booted Josh out of the house.
