Megan Marx and Elora Murger’s rumoured romance is one of the most anticipated plot lines on this season of Bachelor in Paradise.
But is it all one big beat up?
In case you’ve missed the trailer which alludes to their tryst, Megan, who is bisexual and previously dated her Bachelor co-star Tiffany Scanlon, is shown cuddling up to Elora as she tells the camera: “She’s absolutely gorgeous, she’s definitely my type of girl.”
It then cuts to Megan canoodling with a long-haired brunette contestant in the pool, who thanks to the clever editing, we’re led to believe is Elora.
Even BIP host Osher Gunsberg has been applauding the network for giving their love story airtime because hello, it’s 2018 and we need so much more of diversity in the mainstream media.
“I am so stoked that I got to have a conversation about alternate sexual preferences on prime time TV. x #BachelorInParadiseAU,” love god Osh tweeted this month.
But, plot twist alert, it’s definitely not Elora and Megan getting their pash on!

This week, Jake Ellis let the cat out of the bag when he exclusively told us we’ve got it all wrong.
“I hate to burst your bubble but it’s not actually Elora! You’ll have to wait and see who that is,” he explained.
So, who does Megan make out with? According to The Sun Herald Megan is actually making out with is Canadian intruder Thomas Perras, who just like Elora, has an impressive mop of long brown locks.
Thomas, 32, starred on the 2016 series of The Bachelorette Canada and works as a model and carpenter, natch.
We can’t wait to see how this all unfolds.
Online, fans have called out the show for exploiting the same-sex angle and using it as bait to lure viewers in.
“Yes their editing trick worked,” one user said.
“Well, this is a bit of a stitch up. I was really looking forward to such a progressive plot line on prime time TV,” another person added.
