Megan Marx has never made a secret of the fact that she’s attracted to both men and women. But with Bachelor In Paradise brimming with hot bodies, it’s proving a bit of an issue for the stunning 29-year-old.

Megan tells TV WEEK she didn’t want to come on too strong, as she didn’t want anyone to feel uncomfortable.

But the introduction of Elora Murger, the famous fire-twirler from Matty J’s season of The Bachelor Australia in 2017, proved a strong temptation.

“I’d never met her before, but I’d seen her on TV,” Megan says. “Going into production, I thought I’d like her to be there. I thought she was hot and interesting – my type of girl.”

Megan says Elora is “hot and interesting”.

Though Megan admits an instant attraction to Elora, she says she was careful not to make anyone uncomfortable when she first arrived.

“There are a lot of beautiful girls in paradise,” she says. “Obviously, I’m attracted to women, but you don’t want people to feel uncomfortable around you.

“I didn’t want them to think, ‘Megan likes women – is she being friendly or hitting on me?’ So I was wary of not making anyone uncomfortable.”

The former star of The Bachelor Australia concedes being bisexual affected how she behaved during filming.

“It was weird, but I tried to forget what the public might think,” Megan explains. “Because if I kiss a guy, they might assume I’m straight, and if I kiss a girl, then they think I’m a lesbian.

“Being bisexual can be hard for some people to understand – although, most of the girls were straight, so I wasn’t expecting there to be much temptation there.”

However, Megan found Elora very tempting indeed.

“I didn’t receive any heads-up on Elora’s sexuality,” she says. “I had to figure it out for myself.

“Production don’t tell you who’s straight and who’s not. I was just told there’d be people [women] there who were into girls. I wasn’t told who, but we [she and Elora] had a spark initially.”

Despite that spark, things are set to get messy, with Megan also spending time with Jake Ellis, kicking off another love triangle.

“I went in knowing I wanted to take risks,” Megan teases. “I didn’t want to start with one person, like Jake, and just stick at that.

“I was open-minded about who I’d meet. I wanted to leave the door open for quite some time before making a decision – not necessarily about Jake or Elora, but anyone on the island.”
